  • Publication number: 20230108666
Abstract: An electromagnetic radiation (EMR) resistant door system is disclosed herein. The EMR door system comprises a shutter door, and at least one conducting substrate disposed on and extending along the height of the shutter door in a manner that the conducting substrate is facilitated to move in accordance with the movement of the shutter door. The EMR-resistant door system further comprises at least one conducting wire connected to the at least one conducting substrate attached to the shutter door along the entire length of the at least one conducting substrate on the shutter door, the at least one conducting wire linked to ground, thereby forming an electrical conduit from a top end of the shutter door to a bottom end of the shutter door, wherein the electrical conduit is connected to a permanent ground.

  • Patent number: 11225817
Abstract: A sensing edge is made in segments that can be used to determine at which point along the edge an obstruction occurred. Data collected can be used to determine a point in a process that the fault occurred by addressing each segment individually or as a whole. A programmable controller can be operatively coupled to the sensing edge, and can include logic to control the door and/or other equipment using data collected from the sensing edge.

  • Patent number: 10760321
Abstract: A thermal door release system is provided that includes a plurality of temperature sensors arranged within multiple environments; a controller; and a release apparatus; wherein the controller, using data from the temperature sensors, monitors the temperatures of the individual environments and when a temperature for an environment reaches a set temperature threshold for that environment, causes an action such as the release apparatus to operate a door to a specified position. The set points and actions to be taken can be set per environment by a user, such that different environments will have different set points. In an embodiment, the system can support staged logic such that at various different user-defined set point temperatures for an environment, specified actions can be taken, for example, sending an email to the facilities manager when the temperature is significantly above normal and closing the door when it reaches a higher set point value.

  • Patent number: 7574826
Abstract: An emergency door opening actuator includes electrical switches that are at least one of normally open and normally closed. The electrical switches may be connected accordingly in parallel or in series to terminals of an overhead door operator. The terminals may correspond to a push button circuit, an obstruction sensing circuit, an alarm system circuit, and/or a door opening circuit. The emergency door opening actuator may take advantage of a protocol in the operator to cause the overhead door to open during an emergency condition to facilitate egress. Likewise, the emergency door opening actuator may cause that the overhead door cannot close by signaling the protocol in a predetermined way when the switches are actuated by an emergency condition. The electrical switches may be mechanically actuated when at least one fusible link is broken. The emergency door opening actuator may include an automatic mechanical stop and/or a test release mechanism.
