  • Publication number: 20240172388
Abstract: Disclosed is an integrated data center that provides for efficient cooling as well as efficient wire routing. The data center houses electronic equipment stored in clusters of cabinets. The space inside the data center is shared, such as on a leased basis, between multiple different entities who operate their own electronic equipment. To achieve privacy, security, and cooling air flow, one or more layers of a security paneling surround one or more clusters of cabinets to create a secure interior space. This allows access to only authorized personal, prevents people from viewing into the secure interior space, and allows cooling air flow to pass into the secure interior space to cool the electronic equipment. The security paneling comprises sheets of metal with small apertures. Two or more security panels may be arranged with offset apertures to further prevent viewing of the electronic equipment in the secure interior space.

  • Publication number: 20240172391
Abstract: Disclosed is an electrical cabinet with associated air flow direction and heat separation control system. The cabinet has a front, rear, a first side and a second side. The front side has openings to accept flow of cool air into the cabinet and the rear side has openings for exit of warm air from the rear side of the cabinet. The front, rear, first side and second side define an interior space are configured to house heat generating electrical equipment. A frame is adjacent the rear side of the cabinet. The frame has a first frame side and a second frame side. Louvers are located adjacent the rear of the cabinet. The louvers extend between the first frame side and the second frame side. Each louver has a face positioned at an angle to direct the warm air exiting the cabinet other than perpendicular to the rear of the cabinet. A first compartment for storing heat generating equipment is positioned above or below a thermally separated second compartment for storing heat sensitive equipment.

  • Patent number: 11934236
Abstract: Described herein is an air handling unit for use in an integrated data center that provides for efficient cooling, wherein the air handling unit includes one or more uninterruptable cooling fans each with a weighted rotor for providing uninterrupted cooling during a power outage until back-up generators come on-line, and a method of using the same. The uninterruptable cooling fan rotors are configured to store sufficient energy as rotational kinetic energy. Furthermore, the uninterruptable cooling fans may also be configured for generation of electricity to power a control system associated therewith during a power outage until back-up generators come on-line.

  • Patent number: 11544663
Abstract: Package delivery to homes or after-hours business delivery exposes a package to theft, weather damage, and extreme temperatures. To receive and protect delivered packages, a package receiving station is configured to receive package from delivery vehicles. The station includes walls that extend upward to create an interior space of the station and a roof or other movable portion that is moveable between a first position covering the interior space and a second position allowing access to the interior space. A motor causes movement of the moveable roof or movable portion and an access portal in the wall allows access into the interior space to retrieve the package. A receiver receives a signal from or detects the arrival of the delivery vehicle and generates a control signal. A controller, responsive to the control signal, sends an activation signal to the motor to move the moveable roof or movable portion.
