The back support is rotatable along the first flexible strip relative to the brace, the brace is rotatable along the second flexible strip relative to the base portion, and the hand rest is rotatable along the third flexible strip relative to the base portion. The base portion includes a keyboard, a battery, and internal circuitry suitable for interfacing with the tablet computer. The hand rest includes a touch pad. The apparatus is configurable in a desktop configuration, a tablet configuration, and a portability configuration.

    Abstract: A system for wirelessly monitoring a remote location is disclosed. According to one embodiment, the system includes a camera, a base, and an external device. The camera includes a lens, one or more infrared (IR) sources, a status indicator, a microphone, a wireless network interface controller that connects to a Wi-Fi enabled device, and a hardware module that receives IR light when insufficient visible light is present for normal video recording and photographing. The base has a footing and a cradle that are coupled by hinges. The footing supports the camera and the base on a flat support surface. The hinges facilitate rotating the camera to position the camera at various angles. The external device wirelessly controls operation and settings of the camera to remotely view, photograph, and record videos, and to wirelessly transfer video recording data files from the camera to the external device.

The apparatus includes a first groove directed along a diameter of a first circular surface of the cylindrical body, where the first groove is configured to engage with a structural member within the cavity. The apparatus further includes one or more protruding members that extend distally from the first circular surface of the cylindrical body, wherein each of the one or more protruding members is configured to be fixedly seated into a corresponding hole within the cavity.
