    Abstract: An adaptive sports training system accommodates its performance to a player's level of skill. The system is adapted to deliver a ball to a player for return to a target. The system includes a processor programmed to (1) receive information from the target or from a bat indicative of the striking of the ball, (2) process that information so as to determine the player's level of skill and (3) control the delivery of balls and/or function of the target in accordance with the player's changing skill level.
