  • Publication number: 20240086939
Abstract: A computing system includes one or more processing circuits configured to identify an anomaly associated with an electronic transaction, wherein the anomaly is identified based on a profile or pattern of a user. The processing circuits further configured to transmit data corresponding to the anomaly to a user interface. The processing circuits further configured to receive, using the user interface, an indication that one or more risks associated with the anomaly are acceptable. The processing circuits further configured to transmit, to the user interface, an indication of at least one rule violation and information for resolving the at least one rule violation. The processing circuits further configured to receive, from the user interface, a response setting an exception and update the profile of the user, wherein updating comprises changing a classification of the profile of the user based on profile data consistent with the electronic transaction.

  • Publication number: 20070240786
Abstract: A woodworking machine including a detection system adapted to detect a dangerous condition between a person and a working portion of the machine is disclosed. The machine includes a reaction system associated with the detection system to cause a predetermined action to take place relative to the working portion upon detection of the dangerous condition. A motion detection system is adapted to detect motion of the working portion and to disable the reaction system when the working portion is not moving. The motion detection system may include a sensor, such as a Hall effect sensor, an electromagnetic field sensor, an optical sensor, or an electrical sensor. The woodworking machine may take the form of a saw, the working portion may be a blade adapted to cut when spinning, and the dangerous condition may be a person contacting the blade.

  • Publication number: 20070199622
Abstract: Woodworking machines including conductive cutters adapted to cut workpieces, and motors adapted to drive the cutters are disclosed. The machines also include a contact detection system adapted to detect contact between a person and the cutter, and to distinguish contact between the person and the cutter from contact between the workpiece and the cutter. The machines further include a reaction system adapted to cause a predetermined action to take place upon detection of contact between the person and the cutter by the contact detection system.

  • Publication number: 20070096539
Abstract: An apparatus for dry cutting asphalt, concrete and other hard construction materials. The apparatus has a forward direction of operation and includes a circular saw, blade guard, and vacuum collection means. The circular saw includes a housing having front and back ends, a rotatable shaft extending from the housing, a blade fixed to the shaft, and means for rotating the shaft and blade in a direction that upcuts the material when the saw is conveyed in the forward direction. The blade guard is mounted to the housing. The blade guard includes a cover surrounding the upper portion of the blade, a shoe surrounding the lower portion of the blade, and an adjustable connection interface between the cover and the shoe. The vacuum collection means is connected to the blade guard.

  • Publication number: 20060123960
Abstract: A saw with a safety system is disclosed. The safety system includes a detection system adapted to detect contact between a person and a blade while the blade is moving. The safety system further includes a brake system adapted to engage the blade and to stop the blade when the detection system detects contact between the person and the blade.

  • Patent number: 4354390
Abstract: A sled for use in tractor pulling contests, and the like, comprising a frame supported on front and rear wheels, a ballast mass supported by the frame, a pan adapted for sliding frictional engagement with the ground, and an articulated linkage mechanism for transfering the weight of the ballast from the wheels to pan. As the sled is pulled, the linkage mechanism, which is driven by rotation of the rear wheels, progressively shifts the weight of the sled from the wheels to the pan, by lowering the pan relative to the frame. The suspension springs for the rear axle have a greater vertical stroke than those for the front. Therefore, although the front wheels may ultimately be completely lifted from the ground during the weight transfer, the rear wheels always contact the ground with a force sufficient to drive the linkage mechanism. suBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONTractor pulling contests have become increasingly popular.
