Patent number: 10171466Abstract: A wireless system receives a registration from a user device and transfers a request for the user device to an authorization server. The authorization server authorizes a user session for the user device and transfers a common identifier for the user session to the wireless system. The wireless system receives the common identifier and transfers a registration for the user device to an application node. The application node receives the registration and transfers a request for the user device to the authorization server. The authorization server authorizes a user application for the user device and transfers the common identifier for the user application to the application node. The wireless communication system tracks the user session and transfers user session data records having the common identifier. Patent number: 9896812Abstract: Methods and systems for a mounting device for mounting debris deflector to transportation vehicles such as light rail which helps to position the deflector at the front or rear end of vehicles are disclosed. The mounting device is located between the deflector and transportation vehicle and includes a longitudinal member having a proximal end and a distal end, a first base plate rigidly connected to the proximal end of the longitudinal member, and a second base plate rigidly connected to the distal end of the longitudinal member. Further, the first base plate may be connected to understructure of the transportation vehicle, and the second base plate may be connected to the debris deflector.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 2015Date of Patent: February 20, 2018Inventor: Michael Robert Doerr

Patent number: 9764659Abstract: Methods and systems for an ice cap to prevent ice buildup on electrical cables or wires such as grooved cables that carry electricity to transportation vehicles are disclosed. The ice caps can be attached to grooved cables or wires and partially envelop them. The ice cap includes an inverted V-shaped structure and a pair of members descending from its apex and configured to form a canopy over the cable while allowing free access to the bottom portion of the cable by a current collector. It provides a cover over the cable allowing run off of rain, snow and sleet. Grooves present on the edges of the descending members disrupt ice buildup on the cable and increase the ice prevention efficiency of the ice cap. Descending members of the ice caps could also extend over neighboring cables to which they do not attach directly to prevent ice formation on them.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2015Date of Patent: September 19, 2017Inventor: Michael Robert Doerr

Patent number: 8838487Abstract: A method for maintaining a common billing identifier for a user session in a communication network is presented. In the method, an authentication node of the communication network receives a first authentication request associated with a user session. In response to the first authentication request, a billing identifier associated with the user session is transferred from the authentication node to a source of the first authentication request. A second authentication request associated with the same user session is received at the authentication node. In response to the second authentication request, the same billing identifier is transferred from the authentication node to a source of the second authentication request.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2008Date of Patent: September 16, 2014Assignee: Sprint Communications Company L.P.Inventors: Gary Joel Rieschick, Jeremy R. Breau, Raymond Robert Doerr, John Eric Belser

Patent number: 8838488Abstract: A method is provided for maintaining a common billing identifier for a user session in a communication network. In the method, an authentication request associated with a user session is transferred from an access node of the communication network to an authentication node of the network. The access node receives an authentication acknowledgment transferred from the authentication node in response to the request. In response to the acknowledgment, a billing identifier associated with the user session is generated at the access node. The billing identifier is transferred from the access node to an application node of the communication network.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2008Date of Patent: September 16, 2014Assignee: Sprint Communication Company L.P.Inventors: Jeremy R. Breau, John Eric Belser, Gary Joel Rieschick, Raymond Robert Doerr

Patent number: 8715467Abstract: This invention provides a method for purifying a chlorine supply that includes a chlorine component, a bromine component, and nitrogen trichloride. The method includes the steps of introducing the chlorine supply into a vaporizer, heating the chlorine supply in the vaporizer to form a vapor, and introducing the vapor into a distillation system to provide purified chlorine gas, a distillate that includes liquid chlorine and the bromine component, and a bottoms component including the nitrogen trichloride. The method also includes the steps of condensing the vapor in a reflux condenser, heating the condensate in a reboiler, removing the purified chlorine gas from the distillation system, and removing the distillate from the distillation system.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2013Date of Patent: May 6, 2014Assignee: BASF SEInventors: Robert A. Doerr, Steven D. Gagnon, Kenneth K. Bordelon, Johannes D. Jacobs, Thomas A. Grzanka

Patent number: 8179792Abstract: From a packet stream, a first packet, one or more intervening packets, and a second packet are received in the preceding order. The first packet is inserted into a buffer. The one or more intervening packets are inserted into the buffer after the first packet. At least a portion of the first packet is compared to at least a portion of the second packet to produce a comparison result. The second packet is inserted into the buffer after the one or more intervening packets if the comparison result indicates that the second packet is not a duplicate of the first packet.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2008Date of Patent: May 15, 2012Assignee: Sprint Communications Company L.P.Inventors: Raymond Robert Doerr, Matthew Allen Brandes, Jeremy R.
