    Abstract: A database management engine provides a user interface that allows users to access and modify employee information in a database. The database includes entries for employees, and each database entry includes identifying information about the associated employee. A user can request to modify data within database entries, for instance in order to update information associated with an employee. Responsive to the request, the database management engine identifies liabilities associated with the database modification stemming from associated tax laws. Based on the identified tax liabilities, the engine computes the aggregate tax liability owed by the employer and/or employee. Before modifying a database entry, the engine modifies the user interface to include interface elements detailing the computed aggregate tax liability. The user explicitly can be required to confirm the database modification in view of the aggregate tax liability.

The request includes one or more consent parameters asserted for a user of the computing device. The method also includes identifying one or more asserted access consent scenarios for accessing the requested consent-protected healthcare data based on the one or more consent parameters, each asserted access consent scenario of the one or more asserted access consent scenarios representing a respective subset of the one or more consent parameters. The method further includes defining a search filter based on the one or more asserted access consent scenarios and determining, via an indexed search of the data store using the search filter, a subset of the requested data. The method includes providing the subset of data to the computing device.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus related to spike current suppression in a memory array. In one approach, a memory device includes a memory array having a cross-point memory architecture. The memory array has access lines (e.g., word lines and/or bit lines) configured to access memory cells of the memory array. Each access line has left and right portions. Spike current suppression is implemented by charge screening structures. The charge screening structures are formed by laterally integrating insulating layers into selected interior regions of the left and/or right portions of the access line. The insulating layers vertically separate the access line into top and bottom conductive portions above and below the insulating layers. For memory cells located overlying or underlying the insulating layers, the resistance to each memory cell is increased because the cell is accessed using only the higher resistance path of the top or bottom conductive portion.

Furthermore, the system includes a heat exchanger configured to receive a flow of cooling air bled from the gas turbine engine and transfer heat from the received flow of the cooling air to a flow of coolant to generate cooled cooling air. Moreover, the system includes a valve configured to control the flow of the coolant to the heat exchanger. In this respect, the cooled cooling air is supplied to at least one of the rotor disk or the rotor blade to adjust the clearance between the rotor blade and the outer turbine component.
