  • Patent number: 11925377
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to apparatuses, devices, and methods for performing endoscopic tissue resectioning in the gastrointestinal tract. In some embodiments, a tissue resectioning device may include first and second scaffolds each arranged in a tubular configuration. The tissue resectioning device may further include a hook tool engageable with the first scaffold and/or the second scaffold to bias the scaffolds to engage a target section of tissue between the first scaffold and the second scaffold. The hook tool may also engage the section of tissue to pull the section of tissue into the path of a cutting edge of each of the first and second scaffolds. In some embodiments, the tissue resectioning device is provided over a scope, which extends within a lumen of an overtube.

  • Publication number: 20120134012
Abstract: A periodically poled optical waveguide comprising a nonlinear optical crystalline material is provided having poled optical domains slanted with respect to direction of propagation of light within the waveguide. Light reflected from slanted poled optical domains does not couple efficiently back into the optical waveguide, which facilitates reduction of backreflection towards a semiconductor laser source coupled to the waveguide. Reduction of backreflections facilitates stable operation of the semiconductor laser source. A method of manufacturing of a periodically poled optical waveguide with slanted poled domains is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5168734
Abstract: A small re-combinate lock for equipment and furniture such as desks and cabinets. The lock is comprised of a generally cylindrical shell and a removable plug rotatably mounted inside of the shell. The plug has a core and a plurality of multi-piece tumblers slideably mounted in the core. Each tumbler is an assembly comprised of a wafer holder and a combining wafer removably mounted at an end portion of the wafer holder. A wafer support ring is mounted on the core adjacent to one side of each tumbler and a rotatable wafer carrier is mounted on the core adjacent to the opposite side of the tumbler. The wafer support ring is keyed to the core and the wafer carrier is rotatable on the core. In each wafer carrier there are a plurality of coded wafers which can be exchanged with the combinating wafer of an adjacent tumbler. To re-combinate the lock, the plug is first removed from the shell with a master key.

  • Patent number: 5101649
Abstract: A key-operable lock having a releasable plug which is rotatable from a locked condition to an unlocked condition. The plug is removable from a fixed mounting member only in the unlocked condition and is blocked for removal in the locked condition by the combined effects of a master key-operable tumbler which is slideable in the plug and a boss which is fixed to the plug. In the locked condition, the boss and one end portion of the control tumbler extend outwardly from the plug to engage a fixed mounting member and the diametrically opposite end portion of the tumbler is inside of the plug. When a master key is inserted into the lock and the plug is rotated to the unlocked position both end portions of the control tumbler are inside of the plug; the boss is aligned with a slot of the mounting member and the plug is free to be removed from the fixed mounting member.
