  • Publication number: 20100267645
Abstract: The use of collectins and/or surfactant proteins for the treatment and prevention of ocular disease.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 20, 2007
    Publication date: October 21, 2010

  • Publication number: 20090068162
Abstract: The present invention relates to the identification of trace proteins and biomarkers, e.g., TH-1/TH-2, cytokines, MMPs and angiogenic modulators in tear fluids. The present invention provides an antibody-based stationary phase array assay for simultaneously identifying, detecting and characterizing the distribution of a wide range of bioactive trace proteins in a tear fluid sample. A method for simultaneously identifying trace proteins in a biological fluid sample using a highly sensitive antibody-array assay is provided. The present invention also provides methods and kits for treating, preventing, and diagnosing ocular diseases, disorders or pathological conditions.

    Publication date: March 12, 2009
Inventors: Robert Sack, Ann R. Beaton, Lenard Conradi, Sonal Sathe
  • Publication number: 20080093625
Abstract: A semiconductor structure includes a GaAs or InP substrate, an InxGa1-xAs epitaxial layer grown on the substrate, where x is greater than about 0.01 and less than about 0.53, and a wider bandgap epitaxial layer grown as a cap layer on top of the InxGa1-xAs epitaxial layer.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 7, 2005
    Publication date: April 24, 2008

  • Publication number: 20060165786
Abstract: A method for treating circadian rhythm phase disorders is described. The invention provides methods to specifically advance or delay the phase of certain circadian rhythms in humans. The disclosed methods relate to the administration of melatonin at times determined with relation to the time of dim light endogenous melatonin onset. Embodiments capable of alleviating the effects of jet lag, winter depression and shift-work sleep disturbance are, provided.

  • Patent number: 5714983
Abstract: Improved control of repeated program response to a user input is provided. One user input, such as the pressing and releasing of a key, causes a corresponding program response. Pressing of the key for longer than a predetermined interval causes a repetition of the response at a particular rate. Pressing of a second key while the repetition occurs causes the repetition to occur at a different rate. The improved control is possible independently of software and independently of motherboard hardware.
