  • Patent number: 8960349
Abstract: A work vehicle is disclosed including at least one hydraulic actuator that receives hydraulic fluid, and a cooling system that promotes improved warm-up of the hydraulic fluid by directing air from an engine compartment across the hydraulic fluid in a reverse direction to warm the hydraulic fluid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 16, 2013
Date of Patent: February 24, 2015

  • Publication number: 20050097882
Abstract: A gas turbine engine (10) includes a first fire zone (Zone 3) in the region of a core of the engine and a second fire zone (Zone 1) in the region of a fan case of the engine, the first and second fire zones being separated by fire walls. The first fire zone is located generally radially inwardly of the second fire zone but includes a bifurcation part which extends radially outwardly of the remainder of the zone for limited circumferential extent. The engine further includes a disconnect panel (52) mounted on the fan case (32) to extend radially outwardly therefrom, the disconnect panel (52) forming a fire wall and providing means for pipes and harnesses (44) to be routed therethrough.

  • Patent number: 5052341
Abstract: Apparatus for use in the machine milking of animals including a chamber wh is connectable to the teat cups of a milking machine. A sensing arrangement associated with the chamber permits the volume of milk within the chamber to be sensed and control equipment is coupled with the sensing arrangement so as to be operable in response to a determined volume of milk within the chamber being sensed. A valve is operable in response to the control equipment. Accordingly, the apparatus can be connected to a milk transport system to enable milk to pass from the chamber through the valve and into the milk transport system.

  • Patent number: 4947793
Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for measuring milk yield from an animal which has been machine milked using milking machinery in which a valve is operative to extract milk, with minimal entrained air from the milking claw at a substantially constant pressure differential across the seat of the valve. The apparatus includes a detection and timing mechanism in which in use of the apparatus deects the periods during which the valve is open and records the total time during milking of the animal. The apparatus further includes a mechanism which translate the total time the valve is open into a measurement which indicates the yield of milk from the animal.
