  • Publication number: 20080302729
Abstract: The use of two mercury and arsenic removal media: A) a sulfur-impregnated organoclay; and B) a coupling agent-reacted organoclay, wherein the coupling agent preferably contains a mercapto, disulfide, tretrasulfide and/or polysulfide end group provides mercury removal media having increased reactivity, stability, and synergistic mercury removal ability. The preferred mercury removal media described herein is prepared by reacting an organophilic clay containing onium ions A) with elemental sulfur; and B) with a sulfur-containing coupling agent, preferably containing a mercapto, disulfide, tetrasulfide, and/or polysulfide moiety.

  • Patent number: 7233062
Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) package having a spark gap feature for electro static discharge protection is disclosed. The IC package includes an integrated circuit package substrate. An integrated circuit die is placed on the package substrate. Also on the package substrate are a first lead trace connected to the integrated circuit die and a second lead trace adjacent the first lead trace. The second lead trace is also connected to the integrated circuit die. The second lead trace has a spark gap feature allowing at least a portion of electro static spike on the second lead trace to jump to the first lead trace. The spark gap feature can be implemented in various ways including a protrusion from the second lead trace to the first lead trace, the protrusion having a sharp vertex proximal to the first lead trace.

  • Publication number: 20070117143
Abstract: The invention provides an isolated nucleic acid molecule having substantially the same nucleotide sequence as SEQ ID NO:1. Also provided is an isolated oligonucleotide having at least 15 contiguous nucleotides of a nucleotide sequence referenced as SEQ ID NO:11. An isolated polypeptide having substantially the same amino acid sequence as SEQ ID NO:2 is further provided as well as an antibody, or antigen binding fragment thereof, which specifically binds to an ATX polypeptide and has an amino acid sequence as referenced in SEQ ID NO:2. A method for identifying an ATX-modulatory compound is additionally provided. The method consists of measuring the level of an ATX polypeptide in the presence of a test compound, wherein a difference in the level of said ATX polypeptide in the presence of said test compound compared to in the absence of said test compound indicating that said test compound is an ATX-modulatory compound, and wherein said ATX-modulatory compound is not caffeine or wortmannin.

  • Patent number: 7167059
Abstract: Circuit for generating a spread spectrum clock (CGSSC) that employs a mechanism to modulate the input voltage (V_ctrl) to the VCO to achieve dithering. The CGSSC includes a voltage controller oscillator (VCO) that generates an output signal (F_out). The VCO includes an input coupled to a voltage control node for receiving a voltage signal and an output for generating a clock signal that has a frequency dependent on the received voltage signal. A VCO input voltage modulation mechanism (VIVMM) is coupled to the voltage control node (V_ctrl) for modulating or adjusting the voltage at the VCO input voltage node in a controlled manner to generate a spread spectrum clock.

  • Publication number: 20060216776
Abstract: The present invention provides an assay for the identification of agents which can modulate TOR-mediated phosphorylation of substrate proteins. The assays of the invention utilize substrate proteins whose amino acid sequence contains the Ser/Thr motif recognized by TOR. Naturally occurring TOR which may be used in the methods of the invention include TOR isolated from a variety of species, particularly mammalian tissues.
