  • Patent number: 11937037
Abstract: A housing has a bud portion abutting an elongated stem portion. The bud portion is to fit within an ear. The bud portion has a primary sound outlet at its far end that is to be inserted into an outer ear canal, and abuts the stem portion at its near end. A speaker driver is inside the bud portion. Electronic circuitry inside the housing includes a wireless communications interface to receive audio content over-the-air and in response provides an audio signal to the speaker driver. A rechargeable battery as a power source for the electronic circuitry is located inside a cavity of the stem portion. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 11165257
Abstract: A first inverter has a set of first output phases coupled to a grid voltage source. A second inverter has a set of second output phases coupled to the grid voltage source. A phase measurement device is adapted to measure at least one reference phase of the grid voltage source at a reference phase point. An electronic data processor is configured to: determine an observed phase difference between the reference phase point and an observed position sample of a pulse-width-modulation carrier signal of the first inverter, the second inverter, or each parallel-coupled inverter; determine a target phase difference between the reference phase point and target position sample of the pulse-width-modulation carrier signal; determine a frequency adjustment to the pulse-width-modulation carrier signal of the first inverter, the second inverter, or all parallel-coupled inverters, based on a difference between the observed phase difference and the target phase difference.

  • Patent number: 9698722
Abstract: A temperature estimation module estimates each junction temperature of a corresponding semiconductor device, among a plurality of semiconductor devices, for each phase of an inverter. The temperature estimation module or the data processing system determines a hottest device with a highest junction temperature among the semiconductor devices. A thermal adjustment module or data processing system determines if the highest junction temperature parameter is less than maximum junction temperature parameter for the respective semiconductor device or deciding whether or not to adjust a duty cycle of the semiconductor devices.

  • Patent number: 4628893
Abstract: A Bow Hanger for archery bows includes steel plate members and a hook within the members. The steel plate members are separated to receive an upper bow limb between two plate members. Each plate member has a pair of holes for receiving screws. Wing nuts are threaded on the screws to retain the hook and plate members in position on the bow. The hook and plate members are positioned onto the bow such that the hook may be adapted to receive a stationary object, thus, vertically suspending the bow from a stationary object when the bow is momentarily not in use.

  • Patent number: 4336301
Abstract: A filler material for thermoplastic polymers which increases the flexural modulus of the resulting filled system along with increasing the percent elongation to fracture is prepared by mixing a major amount of a mica-like, mineral sheet silicate and a minor amount of an additive such that the resulting surface of the sheet silicate possesses protrusions or nodules.

  • Patent number: 4263811
Abstract: Method and apparatus for measuring the normal stress required to remove an adhering thermoplastic rod from a substrate. Tensile strength of a bond can be measured reproducibly under controlled conditions. The tip of a thermoplastic rod, machined to a cone, is lowered into contact with a heated substrate and melting of the rod is allowed to proceed to a steady-state condition. After a bond is formed, the force required to break the bond is measured. The method permits rapid simulation of the essential conditions present during bond formation between a mineral filler surface and a polymer matrix.
