    Abstract: A transcutaneous sensor device configured for continuously measuring analyte concentrations in a host is provided. In some embodiments, the transcutaneous sensor device 100 comprises an in vivo portion 160 configured for insertion under the skin 180 of the host and an ex vivo portion 170 configured to remain above the surface of the skin 180 of the host after sensor insertion of the in vivo portion. The in vivo portion may comprise a tissue piercing element 110 configured for piercing the skin 180 of the host and a sensor body 120 comprising a material or support member 130 that provides sufficient column strength to allow the sensor body to be pushable in a host tissue without substantial buckling. The ex vivo portion 170 may be configured to comprise (or operably connect to) a sensor electronics unit and may comprise a mounting unit 150. Also described here are various configurations of the sensor body and the tissue piercing element that may be used to protect the membrane of the sensor body.

The pivot points are formed with first and second bushings that are arranged as far from one another as possible. The axial displacement of the pivot pin is prevented by a securing element or by a deforming element engaging a holding contour on the pivot pin. One of the first and second bushings is protected and arranged in a blind hole and the other of the first and second bushings is covered on the outside by a pin head of the pivot pin.

The circulation pipelines extend, for a portion thereof, in the interior of the tap pipelines before terminating openly in a region of a tap. A pipe branch piece is included, which is in the form of a continuous pipe and forms a component of the tap pipeline. A branch pipe of the pipe branch piece receives the circulation pipeline. The branch pipe forms an acute angle with the tap pipeline, with the angle being opened opposite to the flow direction in the tap pipeline. The section of the circulation pipeline, which extends to the tap, is inserted endways into the branch pipe, while the remaining section of the branch pipe joints at the branch pipe and at the ring pipeline.

    Abstract: An instrument has a rotatable part and a helical spring secured to the instrument casing at its outer end and to the rotatable part at its inner end. The spring characteristics are made to depart from linear, by changing the cross-sectional area of the spring progressively substantially from one end to the other of the spring.     Abstract: An instrument for continuously indicating the instantaneous rate of fuel consumption (e.g. in terms of liters per 100 kilometers) during operation of a motor vehicle comprises a stationary speed scale juxtaposed with a movable consumption scale, the two scales carrying relatively inverted logarithmic graduations and being swept by a common pointer driven through a gear train from a speedometer biased by a spring of logarithmic characteristic. The movable scale is magnetically entrained, via a friction coupling, by a flowmeter which is thermostatically controlled to take changes in fuel viscosity due to temperature variations into account; the friction coupling can be manually preadjusted in accordance with the specific weight of the fuel. The pointer and the movable scale are carried by two coaxial disks that coact through a differential coupling with a switch which energizes different signal lamps according to whether, at a given speed, the rate of fuel consumption is normal, subnormal or excessive.
