  • Publication number: 20140379534
Abstract: The present invention is directed to providing a digital retail store featuring digital slotting fees. A digital retail store can be associated with or independent of a physical retail store. When associated with a physical retail store, products that are available within the physical retail store and for which a digital slotting fee has been paid can be made available within the digital retail store. A display device can be used within a physical retail store to display the digital retail store to a customer. A digital retail store can also be personalized for each customer of the digital retail store. A manufacturer can pay a digital slotting fee to have its products or services featured within the digital retail store pertaining to a particular customer.

  • Publication number: 20140379465
Abstract: The present invention provides advertisement opportunities during presentation of a shopping list, while displaying ingredients of a recipe, or during a similar display of items to a consumer. When a type of product is displayed to a consumer as part of a shopping list, recipe, or other similar display, the present invention can provide a product manufacturer or supplier with the opportunity to advertise its product to the consumer in conjunction with the display. In this way, the present invention can enable product manufacturers or suppliers to provide targeted advertisements for a product at the moment when consumers are making a decision to purchase a product. Because these targeted advertisements can be more effective at influencing a consumer to purchase a particular product, a manufacturer or supplier can spend less money to promote its products than when other forms of general advertising are used.

  • Publication number: 20140267289
Abstract: Methods and systems for determining patient and geographic specific medical reports are provided. In one example, a method includes receiving a result of a diagnostic test performed on a patient, and creating, by a computing device, an output of the result in a report. The method further includes based on the result being indicative of a condition, providing by the computing device in the report a geographic representation of one or more incidences of the condition reported in a geographic region associated with the patient. In other example methods, based on the result being indicative of the absence of at least one tick-borne disease or heartworm disease, a geographic representation of one or more incidences of the disease reported in a geographic region associated with the patient may be provided in the report.

  • Publication number: 20140136361
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for implementing an avatar having artificial intelligence for identifying and providing purchasing recommendations. The avatar acts as an electronic representation of a user. The avatar can quantify the utility of decisions and recommend decisions or make decisions on behalf of the user based on the quantified utility determined for a set of decisions. In this way, the avatar can continually learn how to make the best decisions for the user to maximize the happiness of the user. The user can also enter into personal decision contracts which are commitments to follow a decision made by the avatar. A score representing how often the user follows the avatar's decisions can be maintained as an indication of the trustworthiness of the user in entering into personal decision contracts.

  • Publication number: 20140136368
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for implementing an avatar marketplace within which an avatar can enter into personal decision contracts with other avatars to receive goods or services on behalf of the individuals or entities represented by the avatars. An avatar acts as a digital representation of a user by continually searching for information and analyzing the information to provide recommendations of decisions the user may make. The personal decision contracts entered into by the avatar can be commitments to follow a decision recommended by the avatar at a future time. Such contracts can be entered into with other entities or avatars. The avatar can maintain a score that represents the level of trust that the user has in the avatar which is based on how often the user complies with his commitments in a personal decision contract.

  • Publication number: 20140129263
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for providing a virtual tour. A computer system comprising one or more displays arranged circularly can provide an interactive tour of an establishment such as a hotel. The one or more displays can provide a panoramic view of the establishment that updates in response to guest input. In some embodiments, a plurality of displays can be arranged circularly to provide the panoramic view in three dimensions. The panoramic view of the establishment can give the appearance that the guest is walking through the establishment as the guest provides input indicating a desired direction to proceed. One or more of the displays can also provide a touch interface that allows the guest to interact with objects being displayed. In this manner, a guest can tour and explore an establishment from the convenience of a single location.

  • Publication number: 20140127651
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for implementing an avatar having artificial intelligence for identifying and providing meal recommendations. The avatar acts as an electronic representation of a user. The avatar searches available information and makes recommendations to the user based on initial input, the user's response to previous recommendations regarding meals, and/or other information regarding the user. In this way, the avatar continually learns more about the user to improve future recommendations regarding meals that the user will enjoy and also meals that meet a user's nutritional requirements or dietary goals. Accordingly, the avatar can make many meal related decisions for the user that, given the learning the avatar can obtain, can closely approximate the decisions the user himself would make.

  • Publication number: 20060230416
Abstract: Systems and methods of event triggered advertising where at least one embodiment includes an event monitoring module, an advertising database, and an advertising vehicle. The event monitoring module identifies and characterizes events based on a plurality of content variables. The advertising database stores a plurality of advertisements with particular content variables. The event monitoring module then determines if a particular event's content variable settings sufficiently match the content variables of an advertisement stored in the advertising database. If the event monitoring module determines there is a sufficient match, the corresponding advertisement is broadcast via the advertising vehicle. Each of the processes may be performed manually or automatically depending on available resources.

  • Publication number: 20060149631
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of optimizing advertising in response to customer data. One embodiment of the present invention relates to a method of acquiring data about the advertising preferences of particular groups of customers. For example, this data may include analyzing the shopping response of all married female shoppers over 40 years of age after a particular advertisement is played; this shopping response could then be compared with the shopping response of a similar group after a different advertisement is played. Another embodiment of the present invention relates to optimizing advertising variable settings with respect to acquired advertising data in an effort to identify optimized advertising variable settings for identifiable groups of customers. Yet another embodiment of the present invention relates to a method of generating an advertisement with optimized advertisement variable settings for an advertising target group.
