  • Publication number: 20230269009
Abstract: The present invention is particularly directed to a signal-quality determination device (300) that comprises a transceiver unit configured to provide a wireless beacon-request signal as a single-hop broadcast signal indicative of a request to any wireless communication device (312.1, 312.2, 340) within a single-hop distance from the signal-quality determination device and belonging or not to a wireless communication network 350 to which the signal-quality determination device belongs, to provide a respective beacon-response signal upon reception of the beacon-request signal, and to receive the beacon-response signals. The signal-quality determination device is configured to determine beacon signal-quality data (SQ) indicative of a received-signal quality, e.g. RSSI of the beacon-response signal, or a channel-state CSI of a respective wireless communication link.

  • Patent number: 9961512
Abstract: A method for operating devices in a ZigBee network comprising ZigBee Green Power (ZGP)-capable devices and non-ZGP-capable devices, both to be controlled by at least one ZGPD device, is disclosed. In one example, the ZGPD device transmits a ZGPD command frame, and, upon reception of the ZGPD command frame from the ZGPD device, a ZGP-capable device: translates the received ZGPD command to a regular ZigBee command compatible with non-ZGP-capable devices, forwards the translated command, and tunnels the ZGPD command using a ZGP tunneling mechanism, wherein the ZGP-capable devices controlled by the ZGPD device execute only the tunneled command, if the controlled application functionality is supported, and wherein the non-ZGP-capable devices controlled by the ZGPD device execute only the translated command, if the controlled application functionality is supported.

  • Patent number: 9929598
Abstract: A power supplying device is provided for providing electrical power to a power receiving device, the power supplying device comprising two plates, two electrode structures being arranged to be coupled to an AC power source and at least one power transmitter. Each electrode structure is attached to one of said two plates. The power transmitter is situated in between the two plates and comprises an electrically conductive coil and at least two electrical contacts coupled to the electrically conductive coil. The plates and the power transmitter are arranged such that the power transmitter is movable in a direction parallel to the surfaces of the plates with the electrical contacts in contact with the respective two electrode structures for obtaining power from the AC power source.

  • Patent number: 7480296
Abstract: A method and a device are described for generating a program stream of MPEG coded video and audio signal, wherein several functional tasks are distributed in an optimal manner between hardware on the one hand and software on the other hand. Forming the elementary streams is performed in hardware. Packer and packetiser functions are performed in hardware by pre-packing the elementary streams, filling-in packet header and pack header as much as possible. Parsing of the elementary streams is performed in hardware. Parse information is stored in a meta byte structure in each prepack. Maintaining the P-STD Model is performed in software. Deciding for an audio pack or a video pack is performed in software. Finishing the packet header and pack header is performed in software, on the basis of the parse information present in the meta byte structure in each prepack.
