A destination device may then utilize the temporary key to decrypt and securely store the user data onto the destination device.

The user is able to select an option to complete the eOOBE setup prior to receiving the new device, where the new device may be a computer, phone, PDA, or other electronic device. An application such as an applet is downloaded from the manufacturer and the application collects device settings and user preferences, as well as file system information, storing the information to a file on the local device file system. This gathered information may include acquiescence to Electronic User License Agreements (EULA), such that these licenses may be pre-configured with the user's agreement before the device is shipped to the user. The collected information is encrypted and sent to the manufacturer, where the manufacturer then builds and configures the new device in accordance with the received data file.

An error notification regarding the error condition is then provided to a support server. The support server assigns an error identifier to the error condition, and provides the error identifier to the electronic device. The support server also creates a solution map that associates the error identifier with a solution identifier corresponding to an effective solution for the detected error condition. A solution database is implemented to store the solution to the error condition. A solution manager of the electronic device may then utilize the error identifier to automatically identify, download, and install the solution from the solution database to thereby remedy the error condition.

A transceiver of the recorder device wirelessly transmits the timecode to a plurality of cameras. The cameras capture video data and audio data, and timecode managers of the respective cameras combine the received timecode with the captured video data and audio data to produce camera data. The cameras then wirelessly transmit the camera data to the recorder device for storage in a recorder memory. The recorder device may also receive and store PA audio data from a public address system. Furthermore, a computer device may communicate with the recorder device to perform various types of editing procedures on the stored camera data and PA data to produce edited data.
