Abstract: A tricycle is disclosed having a pair of laterally spaced rear wheels and a front wheel which has a central hub and which is mounted for free rotation on the front end portion of the frame. Rider operable means for driving at least one of the rear wheels comprises a chain drive mechanism including a driven sprocket operably connected to said at least one rear wheel, and a drive sprocket journalled for rotation independently of the front wheel about a horizontal axis which is disposed through the hub of the front wheel. The axle of the drive sprocket is provided with foot pedal cranks.
