  • Patent number: 6139165
Abstract: A flashlight or nightstick/baton assembly in which the end cap of the assembly has been removed and replaced with a punch assembly having a threaded base replacing the end cap and a head cap secured to the base and slidably moveable with respect to the base, the head cap enclosing a biasing means and a punch means, the punch means being receptive and reactive to the slidable movement of the head cap in relationship to the base for engagement with tempered glass and automatically resetting after such engagement.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 30, 1999
Date of Patent: October 31, 2000
    Inventor: Robert E. Crowe
  • Patent number: 5449543
Abstract: A cell material structure for confinement of concrete and earth material, having a plurality of plastic strips bonded together on their faces in a side by side relationship at bonding areas which are staggered from strip to strip such that the plurality of strips may be stretched in a direction perpendicular to the faces of the strips to form a web of cells, the strips forming cell walls. At least one of the strips has an aperture through which a reinforcing member extends. Preferably, the reinforcing member is a tendon made of a polymer having a nominal breaking strength of from about 100 to about 2,500 lb.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 20, 1994
Date of Patent: September 12, 1995
    Assignee: Reynolds Consumer Products Inc.
Inventors: Gary M. Bach, Robert E. Crowe

  • Patent number: 4436447
Abstract: Interlocking concrete blocks for controlling erosion of banks of bodies of water are provided with improved wave resistance by providing pairs of spigots on one side of the block and a slot or slots on the other side of the block so as to allow longitudinal movement of courses in a bed formed from the blocks while also allowing relative angular movement of adjacent blocks.

  • Patent number: 4227423
Abstract: A line gripping pulley for a line hauler includes a pair of identical backing discs and a pair of identical wear discs, one for each backing disc and held thereagainst when the discs are assembled and clamped together.

  • Patent number: 4227834
Abstract: A machine for assisting in the laying of courses of blocks to form a ground covering layer in erosion control systems has a flexible apron on which the blocks are laid, a frame attached to one side of the apron, and two spaced and independently actuable pusher bar assemblies, which can act between the frame and the blocks to position the blocks, steer the machine, and withdraw the apron from beneath the blocks.

  • Patent number: 4201494
Abstract: Installation of panels of interlocking blocks for erosion control purposes uses apparatus for hoisting the panels into position comprising parallel suspension cables passing through the panel and a laterally removable support bar releasably locked to the cables which bar sustains the weight of the panel and transfers it to the cables. Upon the release of the support bar, the suspension cables may be drawn out of the panel while drawing permanent reinforcing wires or cables into position behind them. The suspension cables are connected to a top support bar by means for equalizing the loadings on the cables.
