Patent number: 9636458Abstract: An injection device for injecting a medicant into a plurality of tissue sites in a patient for a selected treatment is constructed and arranged such that the number of tissue sites is the total number for the selected treatment thereby requiring a single positioning step. The injection device includes a body having a syringe and a control linkage, the syringe including a plurality of barrels, and a cooperating plunger array including a plurality of plungers. Each barrel receives a corresponding plunger. The injection device further includes a plurality of injection needles connected to the syringe wherein one injection needle is connected to each barrel, a multi-lumen tip, a shaft connected to the multi-lumen tip and extending between said multi-lumen tip and said body. The control linkage is connected to each needle so as to move each needle between a deployed injection position and a retracted position.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2015Date of Patent: May 2, 2017Assignee: Muffin IncorporatedInventors: Grant T. Patent number: 9308074Abstract: A device for inferior retrieval of a vena cava filter includes an outer sheath with a first radial window closer to the distal end than the proximal end of the outer catheter; an inner sheath generally extending movably inside the lumen of the outer sheath and having a second radial window; and a snare tool having an elongated guide element extending through the inner sheath and a snare loop distally attached to the guide element. The snare loop is extendable outward through the two radial windows.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2012Date of Patent: April 12, 2016Assignee: COOK MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES LLCInventors: Grant T. Patent number: 9226734Abstract: Among other things, there are disclosed embodiments of a biopsy device using relative rotational motion to obtain a full-core biopsy sample. Inner and outer tubular members are provided connected to a handle. Each member includes a slit, and the members are rotatable with respect to each other. The device is inserted into a patient to a sampling site, and with the slits co-oriented, is extended into the sampling site. Tissue enters the tubular members through the slits, and one or both members are rotated to cut off and enclose tissue within the inner tubular member.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2012Date of Patent: January 5, 2016Assignee: Cook Medical Technologies LLCInventors: Robert Eells, Jeffry S. Publication number: 20070191790Abstract: A coupling wire guide structured to be slidably coupled to a previously introduced wire guide. The coupling wire guide includes a main body and a tip portion. The tip portion includes an insert member and a distal tip. The insert member is connected to the main body, and the distal tip is connected to the insert member. The insert member defines an insert passageway having a laterally opening proximal port. The distal tip defines a tip passageway having a distal port, the tip passageway being in communication with the insert passageway. The proximal port, insert passageway, tip passageway and distal port are sized to receive the previously introduced wire guide.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 15, 2007Publication date: August 16, 2007Applicant: Cook IncorporatedInventors: Scott Eells, Robert Eells

Publication number: 20070185521Abstract: A rapid exchange assembly comprises an introducer sheath, and a dilator receivable within a lumen of the introducer sheath. The dilator has an open distal end and a lumen extending therein. A distal portion of the dilator extends distally beyond the distal end of the introducer sheath when the dilator is received in the lumen of the introducer sheath. The dilator has an opening through a wall in the distal portion which communicates with the open distal end of the dilator. A wire guide is receivable through the open distal end of the dilator and extends through the opening in the distal portion of the dilator outwardly of the assembly along the length of the introducer sheath.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2006Publication date: August 9, 2007Applicant: Cook IncorporatedInventors: Bao Bui, Arman Valaie, John Brumleve, Daniel Sirota, Robert Eells, Sarah Waite
