  • Publication number: 20120253680
Abstract: A method of passive surveying comprises generating one or more detected signals by passively detecting a signal generated within a subsurface earth formation due to a seismoelectric response or an electroseismic response in at least one porous subsurface earth formation containing at least one fluid, and processing the one or more detected signals to determine at least one property of the subsurface earth formation.

  • Publication number: 20090165183
Abstract: A heat exchange system for use in a garment, for example a protective garment, or temperature conditioning garment, comprising one or more internal channels for carrying heat exchange fluid and control means for controlling the flow of the heat exchange fluid through the internal channels, wherein the internal channels are defined within a pair of sheets of weldable material by virtue of a welding process.

  • Patent number: 7080411
Abstract: A protective body garment is provided including a vest having a body with arm holes, the vest having an internal surface and an external surface, and a front that, when worn, is adjacent to a wearer's chest and stomach, sides that, when worn, are adjacent to the wearer's sides, a back that, when worn, is adjacent to the wearer's back, and a pair of shoulders that, when worn, are above the wearer's shoulders. The garment further includes penetration resistant armour located under the external surface of the vest and an inflatable flotation bladder in the form of a bag between the inner surface of the vest and the penetration resistant armour.

  • Publication number: 20060089551
Abstract: A method for objectively determining if a patient suffers chronic pain by initially observing a multiplicity of persons who are free of chronic pain and subjecting them to a given pain stimulus. Radiofrequency (RF) emissions generated by the brains of the persons who are free of chronic pain while they are subjected to the pain stimulus are measured and a chart in the form of an average f-MRI image for all such persons is prepared which statistically reflects an average of RF emissions generated by the brains of the persons who are free of chronic pain while subjected to the pain stimulus. The same pain stimulus is then applied to the patient, RF emissions generated by a brain of the patient while the pain stimulus is applied are sensed, and the RF emissions from the patient's brain are compared to the chart to determine if the RF emissions from the patient's brain are statistically different from the approximately average RF emissions from the persons who are free of chronic pain on the chart.

  • Patent number: 6681399
Abstract: There are known proposals for protective garments comprising ballistic and stab resistant body armour and inflatable bags or bladders to give buoyancy. The improved garment of this invention has body armour and a gas inflatable bladder between the armour and the wearer's body so as to be shielded by the armour whilst being arranged not to harm the wearer when the bladder inflates. This is facilitated by regulating the inflation pressure and/or by providing expansion joints in the garment that allow the armour to move away from wearer's body to make room for the inflated bladder.

  • Publication number: 20030028949
Abstract: A one piece protective garment has a single vertical opening (3) closable by high strength clasp fasteners secured to the fabric of the garment (5) by high strength twine. Selected areas of the garment is reinforced by extra layers, e.g. of high tenacity/NYLON.
