  • Patent number: 4868578
Abstract: A portable reflector antenna assembly which is readily assemblable and disassemblable for use in the field has a triangular base frame employing three beam members which are joined together at their ends with hinge type knuckles which are slidably positioned on three legs. The legs have integral cup shaped pads near the bottom ends thereof and are driven into the ground until the cups abut against the ground to provide lateral and vertical support in the soil. The frame can be adjusted on the legs for both height and leveling by virtue of the slidable movement of each of the knuckles along the legs, and when in the desired position are clamped to the legs by means of lever-cam actuated draw bolts. The reflector member of the antenna is supported along its rim by means of pivotal supports and clamps, the bottom edge of the antenna being slidably adjustable in azimuth along the curved front beam member of the frame and clamped to the front beam member by means of clamping members.

  • Patent number: 4693629
Abstract: A fastener for joining together a plurality of panel members at their corners provides tight, aligned joinder between the panels, yet can be rapidly disconnected to facilitate the transportation of the panels. The fastener includes a central hub portion against which the corner portions of the panels to be joined together abut in mating relationship; the corner portions of such panels being preformed to the shape of the fastener central portion to enable such mating engagement. Extending from one end of the central portion is an overlapping member which fits flush against one surface of the panels to be joined while extending from the opposite end of the central portion is a second member which is in opposing relationship to the opposite surface of such panels. Clamping members attached to the second member have arms which extend towards each other at convergent angles.

  • Patent number: 4207785
Abstract: A machine for turning successive axially fed work pieces at both ends simultaneously by means of a double-ended segmentally actuated collet construction wherein one collet has a fixed collet chuck and the other has a movable collet chuck; and rigidly controlled and guided means to move the latter to simultaneously close both collets in combination with a tool slide which is considerably longer than the distance between the collets and along which are adjustably mounted a plurality of turning tools, and which is actuated in timed relation to the feed and collet actuation. A single cam shaft with adjustable cams controls all motions.
