  • Patent number: 6532990
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an air compressor assembly including a lifting handle. An air compressor assembly suitable for lifting includes an air reservoir suitable for storing compressed air under pressure, the reservoir having a front-end portion, a rearward portion, a first side portion, and a second side portion. A lift handle assembly suitable for use in lifting the air compressor assembly is at least partially disposed on at least one of the first and second side portions. In an additional aspect of the present invention, an air compressor assembly suitable for lifting includes an air reservoir suitable for storing compressed air having a first end portion and a second end portion. A wheel assembly suitable for transporting the air compressor assembly is disposed on the second end portion of the air reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20020170781
Abstract: A “splash” lubrication system having an oil slinger capable of providing an increased flow rate of lubricating and cooling oil to lubricated components of the system compared to conventional dip stick oil slingers while reducing oil atomization and oil loss through the crankcase vent is disclosed. In embodiments of the invention, the oil slinger is comprised of a disk coupled to the crankshaft assembly of the device being lubricated (e.g., an engine, pump, compressor, or the like) so that rotation of the crankshaft assembly rotates the disk for splashing lubricating oil from the crankcase's oil sump onto the moving parts of the device being lubricated by the lubricating system.

  • Patent number: 6468048
Abstract: A portable air compressor of the type having a horizontal compressed air storage tank is disclosed wherein the air compressor includes a stable base having a width at least substantially equal to the diameter of the compressed air storage tank. The air compressor may further include tie-down points for securing the air compressor to a platform.

  • Publication number: 20020125115
Abstract: A full power switch assembly for a portable generator that is capable of instantly communicating the presence and operation of a full power switch to the user is disclosed. The full power switch assembly includes a first outlet for supplying electrical power having a first voltage (e.g., 120 VAC), a second outlet for supplying electrical power having a second voltage (e.g., 240 VAC), and a switch including a selector. The selector is movable from a first position to a second position for causing the first outlet to be capable of supplying electrical power up to a maximum power level. Movement of the selector between the first position and the second position further causes indicia to be displayed for indicating whether the first outlet is capable of supplying electrical power up to the maximum power level.

  • Patent number: 5178350
Abstract: A mounting frame facilitates the installation of ganged electrical devices into a single switchbox. The frame is a rectangular plate with a rectangular opening and provides a rigid support for the devices. Support is needed when the wall on which the devices are to be mounted is not planar or when the switchbox is not properly mounted into the wall. The frame can also include markings that help to align the devices to permit a multigang faceplate to snap onto the devices. An alignment frame provides markings to help align the devices, without also providing a rigid support.

  • Patent number: 4833978
Abstract: A coffee brewing unit is disclosed which enables a brew cycle to be initiated manually or automatically at a preset time, but which prevents a brew cycle from proceeding if a number of required operating conditions are not implemented. If all operating conditions again become implemented after a brew cycle, once underway, is interrupted, the brew cycle continues on to completion. Visual and audible signals indicate the current status of the brew cycle and/or of the brewing unit itself. An insulated carafe is used as the vessel to receive brewed coffee thereby eliminating the need for a warmer plate. The unit may be mounted under a cabinet to thereby maximize usable countertop space and the brew basket utilizes a dispensing valve which is opened by the carafe when inserted into position but which closes when the carafe is withdrawn.
