  • Patent number: 9352376
Abstract: A hemming head device and method for hem forming one or more edges of deformable material. The hemming head device includes dual biasing spring members which provide a resistive force whether the hemming wheel is in a push hemming operation on an exterior joint edge or in a pull hemming operation on an interior joint edge. The device further includes a quick connect device for selectively connecting hemming wheels and other forming devices to the head and a gauge to measure the relative position or resistive force applied on the forming member by the biasing members. A method for hem forming a workpiece using dual biasing spring members is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4783880
Abstract: A caster wheel assembly for replacing a tire on a wheel member having a hub portion, a web portion extending radially outwardly from the hub portion, and a first laterally extending rim portion. A circular member including a web portion removably fastened to the web portion of the wheel member and a second rim portion extending laterally and projecting oppositely relative to the first rim portion, the rims together having a V-shaped tire support surface when viewed in cross section. The tire includes a ring member having an outer and inner surface and a resilient member adhered to the outer surface. The inner surface is V-shaped when viewed in cross section. A fastening mechanism fastens the circular member to the wheel member to clamp and deform the outer surface of the ring in a friction fit against the tire support surface.

  • Patent number: 4174391
Abstract: The spiramycin derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents acetyl, propionyl or hydrogen, A represents butenylene or butadienylene (wherein any double bonds present in A are trans), and R.sup.2 represents a group of the formula: ##STR2## wherein Z represents bivalent saturated or unsaturated alkylene of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, Y represents sulphur or oxygen, and R.sup.3 represents alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl of 3 to 8 carbon atoms, aryl or aralkyl in which the alkylene moiety is of 1 to 6 carbon atoms and their non-toxic salts possess therapeutic and growth-promoting activity.
