  • Publication number: 20240147978
Abstract: In A fishing reel including a housing, a shaft supported in the housing and configured to rotate relative to the housing around a shaft axis extended in a longitudinal direction of the shaft, and a spool fixed with the shaft to rotate with the shaft around the shaft axis for winding and unwinding a fishing line. The fishing reel also includes a stator fixed with the housing, where the spool is configured to rotate with the shaft relative to the stator and the housing, a stator magnet that is an electromagnet fixed with the stator, a rotor including a first rotor plate fixed with the shaft to rotate with the shaft around the shaft axis, and a first rotor magnet fixed with the first rotor plate. The stator magnet is configured to receive an electrical current and generate a magnetic field from the stator to the first rotor magnet.

  • Publication number: 20070190504
Abstract: A method for facilitating self-knowledge and career management including providing a user interface to a career management software tool that includes a type and temperament module, a skills and experiences module, and a career interests module. The user interface has a screen flow and includes illustrated scenarios as a form of stimuli. One or more of the modules are executed to determine characteristics of a user. The executing includes receiving information from the user via the user interface and performing user validation of the determined characteristics. The user validation includes altering the screen flow in response to the information received from the user. A job taxonomy database that includes occupational themes and associated occupational characteristics is accessed to select a subset of the occupational themes based on the determined characteristics of the user. The subset of the occupational themes is transmitted to the user via the user interface.

  • Patent number: 5524209
Abstract: A multiprocessor array where any single multiprocessor can be needed to execute a prescribed sequence and more than one of the processors may compete to initialize this sequence, and wherein a "semaphore port" SP is coupled to all processors, this port SP being adapted to normally signal "GO", but after "first-access" by a said processor, which thus becomes a "selected processor", to thereupon signal "STOP" to all other, "non-selected", processors, and so deny access until a given test sequence is completed.

  • Patent number: 4616624
Abstract: A portable barbecue grill knocks down readily into a compact state for travel or for storage in a limited space. In the assembled state, the unit is larger than known portable grills which cannot be disassembled at all or are difficult to disassemble, and the unit is capable of grilling several large steaks or cooking larger cuts of meat. When disassembled, the fire pan nests within the cover and has its open top covered by a base plate of the unit during transport or storage. The grill rack and a pedestal tube are then also stored within the fire pan.

  • Patent number: 4397123
Abstract: An improved construction for a horizontally installed drywall board incorporates widthwise extending tear-off strips on the back side of each butt end. When the butt ends of two boards are mated for nailing to a stud, the strips are removed which allows the butt ends to bend at the join line to form a depression for receiving the finishing joint cement. A pair of relatively short lengthwise extending tapered tear strips are also provided on opposite corners adjacent one edge of the board and which are also removed to facilitate continuation of the depression along the join line when the board edges are nailed to a stud plate adjacent the ceiling or floor of the room being covered by the wallboard. An alternative embodiment utilizes a tapered construction on the butt ends on the back face of the board and a convention tapered construction on the outer face of the board along its long edges.

  • Patent number: 4358495
Abstract: A preformed laminate structure for repairing and patching damaged areas of drywalls is adapted to be cemented thereto and comprises a backing member made from thin sheet material and sufficiently large to cover the area to be repaired and a facing member cemented to the backing member and also made of thin sheet material of the same shape but of less size than the size of the backing member.
