  • Patent number: 6434174
Abstract: A repetitively pulsed chemical oxygen-iodine laser having a resonant cavity containing a lasing medium in the form of a flowing mixture of excited oxygen and iodine atoms and an iodine absorption region within the resonant cavity. The iodine absorption region includes a source of iodine atoms and a magnetic field associated therewith. Selectively altering the magnetic field results in changing the absorption characteristics of the iodine atoms and therefore effectively pulses the output of the laser.

  • Patent number: 5787923
Abstract: A hose reel assembly for taking up and feeding out a hose. The assembly includes a non-rotatable shaft having opposite ends, a reel for storing the hose rotatable on the shaft and a hub mounted on the shaft at one side of the reel between the reel and one end of the shaft so that the hub may be slidably applied to and removed from the shaft independent of the reel. The assembly further includes a coupling on the hub for connecting the hub and the hose. The shaft and the hub include passaging for supplying fluid to the hose. A seal is provided between the shaft and the hub adjacent to the passaging for preventing fluid leakage. The hub is releasably connected to the reel for conjoint rotation of the hub and the reel on the shaft and is disconnectable from the reel so that the hub may be removed from one end of the shaft to permit replacement of the seal without removing the reel from the shaft.

  • Patent number: 5037009
Abstract: A composite follower for mounting on a pump tube in a drum to facilitate pumping viscous materials from the drum through the tube. The composite follower includes a generally circular follower body having an outer peripheral edge adapted for slidably but sealingly engaging the walls of the drum. The body further includes a socket generally through the center of the body. The composite follower has an annular insert installed in the socket of the follower body. The insert has a central bore adapted to receive the pump tube through it for enabling the follower to slide axially on the tube with the insert in sealing engagement with the tube. There are fasteners for securing the insert in the socket and a sealing cap for sealing the joint at the intersection of the insert with the follower body.

  • Patent number: 4880144
Abstract: A console unit for holding and housing a plurality of lubricant dispensers, lubricator hoses attached to the dispensers, and one or more vacuum units on rollers. The console unit includes a podium-like structure having a front wall, two side walls, a top wall and an open bottom. The console has a lubricator hose housing attached to the front wall of the podium-like structure which has a front wall spaced forward from the front wall of the podium-like structure, a top wall having apertures therein, and side walls. The console unit includes a bracket for releasably holding the dispensers mounted on the front wall of the podium-like structure above the top wall of the hose housing with the lubricator hoses extending down from the dispensers through the apertures in the top wall of the hose housing. The console unit further includes a lower compartment in the podium-like structure for housing one or more vacuum units.
