  • Patent number: 8375961
Abstract: A floss pick including a body with a handle and a head. The head has first and second arms defining a cavity between them, and a length of dental floss extending between the arms and across the cavity. Preferably, the handle is oval in shape for easier grasping by the user. The body includes a toothpick member that preferably is disposed on the head and extends outwardly from one of the first and second arms into the cavity. The floss extends between the other of the first and second arms and the toothpick member and during use guides the toothpick member into interproximal spaces between teeth. Alternatively, a toothpick member may be provided in a recessed region of the handle and extend forwardly toward the head. The latter toothpick member is able to be detached from the handle for separate use.

  • Publication number: 20120297532
Abstract: A sealing member for securing a vinyl pool liner to a stair system and including a first sealing component which is secured along a side wall defining the stairs; a bottom sealing component secured to the wall beneath the stairs and a corner assembly disposed between the two. All of the first and bottom sealing components and the corner assembly include an inner frame member and an outer frame member which are configured to snap-fittingly engage each other and clamp a portion of the liner between them. The corner assembly is curved and a cover is engaged over the outer frame member of the corner assembly to prevent accidental disengagement thereof. The cover extends for a distance along each of the first and bottom sealing components. The outer frame member defines a plurality of apertures in its upper surface which are configured to receive studs extending outwardly from the cover.

  • Patent number: 8282395
Abstract: An abutment clip for use in a dental implant system for orienting an abutment relative to features on a patient's teeth and jawbone so that a prosthesis, which is attachable to the abutment, will be correctly oriented. The abutment clip comprises a housing that includes a chamber sized to receive the abutment therein. The housing has at least one position indicator provided at one end thereof. The dentist engages the abutment clip over the abutment when it is still attached to a manufacturer's plaster model. He notes the position of the indicator on the housing in reference to features on the model and then detaches the abutment clip, abutment and abutment screw as a unit from the model. The combined abutment clip, abutment and screw are then positioned on an implant post in the patient's jaw bone and the position indicator is used to verify the orientation of the abutment before it is secured to the implant post.

Abstract: A spout for use on a portable liquid container and a container including the same. The spout includes a body having a channel extending between its first and second ends. A valve assembly is provided on the body and is movable between an open position where it allows liquid to flow through the channel and a closed position where it prevents liquid flow therethrough. The valve assembly is moved to the open position by moving the body in a first direction and is moved to the closed position by moving the body in the opposite direction. A locking assembly must be disengaged to move the body in the first direction. The spout may include a vent pipe to sense fuel levels in a second container in which liquid is to be dispensed.

  • Publication number: 20120111348
Abstract: A floss pick including a body with a handle and a head having a length of floss therein. The handle defines an aperture with a toothpick member disposed therein. The toothpick member is connected to the handle by first and second bridge members. In a first instance, the bridge members are broken to detach the toothpick member. In a second instance, the bridge members are twisted to pivot the toothpick member from a non-use position to a use position where it is disposed at an angle relative to the body. The toothpick member is pivoted by engaging a terminal end thereof with an index finger of the hand in which the body is held. The angle of the toothpick member relative to the body is adjusted using the index finger to permit picking of the teeth in any region of the user's mouth without changing hands.

  • Patent number: 8136192
Abstract: A head for a denture brush that is detachably connected to a powered handle and a denture brush incorporating the same. The head includes a housing having a first set of bristles extending outwardly from a first side and a second set of bristles extending outwardly from a second side. The first and second sets of bristles are mounted such that they are movable in response to rotation of a camshaft in the head. Some of bristles on each side of the head may be linearly pulsed toward and away from the housing substantially orthogonally to a longitudinal axis of the head. Additionally, some of the bristles on each side of the head may be rotated about a horizontal axis that is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis.

  • Publication number: 20120021382
Abstract: A replaceable accessory head for a powered toothbrush. The user selects one of a plurality of dental care accessory assemblies for flossing, brushing teeth, or for stimulating the gums. That assembly is engaged with the head which in turn is engaged with the handle and is locked thereto. This locking motion also causes the assembly to become locked to the head and the assembly may then be used for its intended purpose. A vibratory mechanism in the handle is activated causing vibration in the accessory assembly and thus improving the flossing, brushing or gum stimulation motions. When the assembly is worn out or when a different dental hygiene task is to be undertaken, the user detaches the head from the handle, thereby simultaneously unlocking the accessory assembly from the head. The assembly is then disengaged and is replaced by a different accessory assembly.

The foil typically includes one or more pleated sections having panels folded along longitudinal folds which may be unfolded to expand the piece of foil. The foil may include left and right pleated sections with a central section of the foil therebetween. Drain holes are typically formed in the central section, which may also be embossed with logos or the like. Axial sections of the foil may be folded at an axial fold to overlay one another. Portions of the foil may be formed into rolled handles to help lift the fowl.

  • Publication number: 20110269391
Abstract: A device for altering the airflow pattern from a ceiling vent diffuser by obstructing openings in a region of the diffuser. The device comprises a flexible member that is secured to a diffuser vane by a hook member and two tabs. The hook member has two or more engagement regions which enable it to engage vanes on different manufacturer's diffusers. The first end of the hook member is either pivotally secured to the flexible member or is engaged in an adjustment mechanism thereon. The adjustment mechanism allows the second end of the hook to be situated in different positions relative to an interior edge of the flexible member so as to accommodate different diffusers. An extension detachably engages the flexible member to increase the size thereof to accommodate larger diffusers.

  • Patent number: 8002013
Abstract: A device for altering the airflow pattern from a ceiling vent diffuser. The device comprises a flexible member that is secured to a diffuser vane by a spring-biased hook and one or more tabs. A release button on the outer surface of the device is depressed to pivot the hook out of engagement with the vane. The device is complementary shaped to a region of the diffuser. When installed, the device blocks the openings in that region and substantially prevents air from flowing out of the openings. One or more devices may be installed in selected regions to block airflow from those selected regions. A plurality of devices may be utilized to completely prevent airflow from the diffuser.
