  • Patent number: 10160891
Abstract: A pressure-sensitive adhesion composition comprising: a first polymer that is acrylate polymer or copolymer comprising polymerized monomers selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, octyl acrylate, styrene, vinyl acetate and combinations thereof; and b) a second polymer selected from the group consisting of ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer, oxidized polyethylene, oxidized ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, maleated polyolefin and combinations thereof; wherein the composition is water-based and adapted for pressure-sensitive adhesion to substrates. The adhesion composition may also comprise a tackifier resin selected from the group consisting of rosin ester resin, rosin acid resin, synthetic hydrocarbon resin, synthetic terpenic resin and combinations thereof. An article of manufacture comprising a support member and a pressure-sensitive adhesion layer attached thereto that comprises said pressure-sensitive adhesion composition.

  • Patent number: 4989331
Abstract: A gage including two relatively movable structures which carry two gaging elements for contacting a screw thread or other work surface at different locations and which control an indicator producing a display representing a measurement of the thread or other surface. The two structures are mounted for relative movement by a guide rod attached to one of those structures and slidably movable longitudinally within a bushing attached to the other structure, with a spring applying force in opposite directions to the first of these structures and the bushing respectively to urge the gaging elements against the surface being measured. The bushing is shiftable to different positions relative to the structure to which it is attached, to vary the spring force for use with different size parts or under other varying operating conditions.

  • Patent number: 4856198
Abstract: A gauge for measuring an internal thread formed within a passage in a nut or other member, and including two gauge elements having similar external threads adapted to project into the threaded passage along the axis of the internal thread and from opposite ends of the passage to engage opposite ends of the internal thread, and two indicators carried by the gauge elements at locations axially outwardly beyond the opposite ends of the passage and having portions extending externally of the passage to positions at which the rotary setting of one indicator can be read against the rotary setting of the other. At least one of the rotary elements (preferably both) is rotatably adjustable relative to the corresponding gauge element, and releasably lockable in any of different set positions relative thereto as an initial setting of the tool.
