  • Publication number: 20180229744
Abstract: A method and system that monitors various functions and criteria within a standard vehicle platform (“SVP”) or a small engine platform (SEP?). The SVP uses an OBD-II adapter as a central controller to collect the information and communicate with a mobile communication device or a cloud based application to monitor the health of in-vehicle systems within the SVP and determine if maintenance is required. The SEP utilizes a run hour meter to collect information and communicates with a mobile communication device, an OBD-II adapter, or a cloud based application to monitor the health of an engine within the SEP and determine if maintenance is required. The method and system can automatically dispatch maintenance resources if maintenance is deemed necessary, thereby providing a managed maintenance solution for either a SVP or SEP.

  • Patent number: 6138914
Abstract: A portable bar code scanner apparatus having a keyboard and a display mounted on the front face of the housing. The housing is configured to be held in the palm of one hand with the keys on the keyboard engageable by the thumb or fingers of the hand holding the housing. Only one hand is required for scan actuation and key entry and to maintain a comfortable precision grip. The portable bar code scanner apparatus may also include a radio for transmitting data to or receiving data from a host computer, and may be mounted on the back of the operator's hand for hands-free operation while in an object-sense mode.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 12, 1995
Date of Patent: October 31, 2000
    Assignee: Telxon Corporation
Inventors: James A. Campo, Donald M. Embree, Donald I. Sloan, Roger H. Ramsey, Robert G. Martinez, Dennis M. Futo

  • Patent number: 4957640
Abstract: Corrrosion inhibiting compositions containing compositions prepared from (1) nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic compound having at least one group of either (a) a carboxylic acid, (b) carboxylic acid ester, (c) carboxylic acid annhydride, (d) carboxylic acid halide, (e) or combination thereof, such as 2-pyridinecarboxylic acid, and (2) an organic fatty amine such as a mixture of C.sub.10 to C.sub.21 fatty amines.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 3, 1989
Date of Patent: September 18, 1990
    Assignee: The Dow Chemical Company
Inventors: Duane S. Treybig, Robert G. Martinez
  • Patent number: 4871848
Abstract: Novel compositions are prepared by reacting hydrocarbyl substituted nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic compounds such as 2,5-dimethylpyridine or 2,4,6-collidine, an aldehyde such as formaldehyde, or a ketone such as acetone, or mixtures thereof and an amine having a combined total of at least seven carbon, nitrogen, oxygen or sulfur atoms and at least one reactive amine hydrogen atom such as 1-dodecanamine in the presence of a suitable catalyst such as hydrogen chloride. These novel compositions, as well as their free amine forms are useful as oil and gas well corrosion inhibitors.

Inventors: Duane S. Treybig, Robert G. Martinez
  • Patent number: 4837323
Abstract: The reaction product of an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated aldehyde with an organic amine further reacted with a carboxylic acid, organic halide or an epoxide containing compound is employed as corrosion inhibitors in a process for preventing corrosion of ferrous metals in contact with corrosive brine, oil and gas well fluids.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 13, 1987
Date of Patent: June 6, 1989
    Assignee: The Dow Chemical Company
Inventors: Robert G. Martinez, Duane S. Treybig, Terry W. Glass
  • Patent number: 4762627
Abstract: The thermally rearranged oligomers prepared by the reaction of an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated aldehyde with organic amines are thermally rearranged to give a more thermally stable product with labile amino hydrogens available for further reaction, after reaction with a carboxylic acid, organic halide or an epoxide containing compound are employed as corrosion inhibitors in a process for preventing corrosion of ferrous metals in contact with corrosive brine, oil and gas well fluids.
