  • Patent number: 11960958
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for notifying users regarding a status of various tracked items. A system for generating these notifications comprises a tracking device, having a unique identifier, using a short-range wireless communication protocol to communicate its location; and a mobile device comprising a motion detector configured to identify/monitor movements of the mobile device; and a reader using a short-range wireless communication protocol to communicate with the tracking device. Upon receiving an indication, from the motion detector, that the mobile device has a motion that satisfies a threshold, the reader identifies one or more tracking devices within the predetermined distance from the mobile device, wherein when the reader determines that the tracking device is not within the predetermined distance and the unique identifier of the tracking device is associated with the mobile device, the mobile device outputs a notification.

  • Patent number: 10261954
Abstract: Techniques for optimizing search result snippet selection. In one aspect, the techniques include receiving a query and identifying a set of documents matching the query. A set of one or more snippet field types for a snippet representing a corresponding document of the set of documents is selected based at least in part on a snippet selection model. The snippet selection model is adjusted to reinforce or discourage selection of the set of one or more snippet field types for future queries based on the user click.

  • Publication number: 20060244980
Abstract: An image rendering system periodically prints test patches on a duplex sheet from a plurality of marking engines, using a simple emitter-detector pair as a feedback means in image quality control. Image lightness is controlled by analyzing the test patches to determine updated marking engine actuator set points. For instance, ROS exposure and/or scorotron grid voltages are adjusted to maintain image lightness consistency between marking engines.

  • Publication number: 20060189408
Abstract: A golf club head, particularly for putting, includes a main body having a leading section and a trailing section where the leading section has a top edge and a bottom edge and the trailing section has a top edge and a bottom edge. A sole portion interconnects the bottom edge of the leading section and the bottom edge of the trailing section. A heel portion and a toe portion each include a weight disposed therein. In addition, a third weight is disposed in the trailing section of the club. The weighting is such that the moment of inertia of the club head is increased over known putters.

  • Publication number: 20060115284
Abstract: Using a document scanner or other image input device of an image or document processing system to periodically scan or image printed test images from a plurality of marking engines replaces internal sensors as a feedback means in image quality control. For example, image lightness (L*) is controlled by periodically printing mid-tone test patches, scanning the printed test patches with a main job document scanner and analyzing the scanned image to determine updated marking engine actuator set points. For instance, ROS exposure and/or scorotron grid voltages are adjusted to maintain image lightness consistency between marking engines.
