Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically placing a fire system device icon on a drawing of a building floor plan are provided. Such systems and methods can include parsing a drawing file, searching the drawing file as parsed for a text string that matches known device address formats, storing the text string with coordinates corresponding to a location of the text string in the drawing file, retrieving a plurality of device addresses, matching the text string with one of the plurality of device addresses, and placing the fire system device icon for the one of the plurality of device addresses at the coordinates corresponding to the location of the text string in the drawing file.

Abstract: An electronic software application which features a plurality of navigable display screens. The display screens are visually presented on an electronic display of a mobile electronic device and have a graphical user interface for downloading, accessing and inputting information for service appointments. The information is electronically stored on a central computer at a remote location and the mobile electronic device is in wireless communication with the central computer. The display screens visually present selectable computer-generated icons and predetermined designations to select portions of the information to be viewed or input.

Abstract: A supervisory apparatus and method are useable with personal, or micro-computers. A passive module can be coupled to a computer sound card. The module can be coupled to a speaker and a microphone. The speaker can emit a supervisory audio signal generated by the sound card. The microphone can sense and feedback the supervisory signal. Where no supervisory audio has been detected during a pre-set time interval, an audio path failure can be reported.

Abstract: A method of supervising a plurality of displaced devices includes having each device emit a supervisory signal that is detectable by a designated unit. Indicia can be included indicative that an intervening message has been sent from a respective device. The designated unit can respond to missing, expected supervisory signals as well as unreceived messages.
