  • Publication number: 20080251074
Abstract: A device and method for remote monitoring of remaining gas supplies in compressed gas cylinders conventionally employed to supply patient oxygen. The device employs a pressure sampling component to communicate sequential electronic signals to a remote receiver of remaining pressure in the tank. Software and a microprocessor in the receiver continually calculate a future replacement time for the tank based on tank pressure depletion identified in the most recent pressure reading of the tank over the time duration from the next most recent pressure reading.

  • Patent number: 4338156
Abstract: A tool is disclosed for installing a glazing strip in the corner defined by two mutually perpendicular surfaces. The strip comprises extruded polyvinylchloride plastic having a cross sectional shape such that a glazing compound is provided in a central cavity to be extruded through a slot covered temporarily by a paper layer which covers the slit and one entire face of the plastic strip itself so that the strip can be conveniently provided on a roll or the like. The tool provides convenient means for stripping the paper layer from the face of the strip such that it can be first laid in the corner in an initial position by sliding the tool along the plastic strip and simultaneously peeling the paper backing therefrom. The strip is passed through an elongated cavity in the front side of the tool, which cavity exposes a major portion of the strip face so that the paper can be stripped entirely free of the plastic strip if desired.

  • Patent number: 4316427
Abstract: A depletion indicating mechanism allows for visual inspection of the quantity of components contained in a storage bin. The storage bin is mounted on a fixed frame structure, such as a wall, and the bin is held in a tilted position in opposition to the gravitational force acting on the bin. A mechanism is responsive to the change of weight of the bin as the quantity of components is reduced so that angular displacement of the bin occurs. The mechanism amplifies the angular displacement of the bin into corresponding depletion measurements on a mechanical gauge which allows for visual inspection of an indicator to quickly determine the degree of bin depletion.

  • Patent number: 4138807
Abstract: A glazing strip of extruded polyvinyl chloride plastic or the like has a cross sectional shape such that a glazing putty can be provided in a central cavity for subsequent use by the installer. When used to glaze a window pane in a sash this strip is cut to length from a roll or the like, and a wax paper or the like is removed from mutually perpendicular lands on the plastic strip to uncover pressure sensitive adhesive areas on these lands. The lands serve to hold the strip to the sash, and to the glass pane, while the strip is squeezed by means of a roller or blunt tool or spatula, or one's fingers to cause the putty or caulking compound to issue from a slot provided for this purpose in the underside of the plastic strip. The putty is thereby urged from the cavity into an L-shaped space between the strip and the window sash and pane such that a positive seal is provided for the window pane to hold it in place in the sash.

  • Patent number: 4097720
Abstract: An extruded back panel is adapted to be mounted to a wall so as to extend horizontally and in closely spaced relationship to the floor. The panel has integrally formed channels for slidably receiving projecting flanges provided for this purpose on longitudinally spaced support brackets located intermediate the end portions of the elongated heating element, or on utility boxes provided at either end of the elongated heating element. Each bracket is slotted to receive the elongated heating element intermediate the end portions of said element. The back panel defines a conduit channel which communicates with the utility boxes. Two versions of a front panel or enclosure are described, one of which provides for a top grille portion to be integrally formed with the front panel, and the other has a separate top grille portion connected to one or more of the underlying support brackets and to a rearwardly projecting flange on the front panel itself.
