  • Publication number: 20110000868
Abstract: A nursing bottle formed of a large volume container, incorporating a vent tube that extends to vent pressure at all times. The nursing bottle may have a cylindrical shape or other configuration that prevents formula placed therein from blocking the vent tube regardless of its angular disposition. The vent tube extends distally from the vent insert, operatively associated with a collar, that holds the vent structures and the nipple to the wide rimmed opening. In addition, the vent tube has a conical shape of decreasing diameter distally toward the center of the bottom to dissipate the pressure that may cause leakage from the bottle. Further, the vent insert has a major and minor seal that prevents leaks out of the collar and onto an infant.

  • Publication number: 20110004244
Abstract: The present invention is a pacifier having a non-collapsible aperture within the nipple lengthwise and a vertical aperture crosswise. The pacifier has a superiorly arched nipple upon a guard and opposite the nipple, a tab for grasping. The horizontal aperture extends from the tip of the nipple and through the guard. The horizontal aperture allows the passage of air into and out of the pacifier as an infant breathes and has a rib extending lengthwise that prevents collapse of the aperture. However, as infants salivate when suckling on a pacifier, the vertical aperture permits drainage of saliva, that enters the horizontal aperture, back into the mouth of an infant. The guard has a generally oval shape. Alternatively, the nipple deviates superiorly and close to the proximal end, has recesses for teeth or gums, and a hole in the tab for a strap or keeper.

  • Publication number: 20100181277
Abstract: A nursing bottle formed of a small volume container, incorporating a venting tube that extends to dissipate pressure at all times. The nursing bottle may have a cylindrical shape or other configuration that prevents formula placed therein from blocking the venting tube when held at any angle. The venting tube extends distally from the insert portion, operatively associated with a collar that holds the vent structures and the nipple to the neck of the container. The vent opens at the volumetric center of the reservoir above the venting tube. Alternatively, the venting tube has a conical shape of decreasing diameter distally toward the center of the bottom to dissipate the pressure that may cause leakage from the bottle.

  • Patent number: 7559721
Abstract: A deepwater pipeline is towed to a predetermined position by a bottom towing method with a leading end of the pipeline attached to a towing vessel and the trailing end of the pipeline attached to a trailing vessel. The trailing end is supported near the seabed using the trailing vessel, while the pipeline is dragged along the seabed. A towing speed is established, and a hang off angle for the leading end is maintained by raising and lowering the trailing end to control the length of the pipeline dragged along the seabed, and thus the amount of drag applied by the seabed to the pipeline. In a method for bottom towing and submerged flying of a riser having a leading end and a trailing end, the riser is towed by the bottom towing method at a first speed until the trailing end of the riser lifts off the seabed, whereupon the towing speed is increased.

  • Publication number: 20090127220
Abstract: A nursing bottle formed of a container, incorporates a reservoir and venting tube that eliminates vacuum. The nursing bottle has a cylindrical shape or other configuration that prevents formula therein from blocking the venting tube when held at any angle. The venting tube extends distally from the insert and alternatively may be in separate pieces. The insert has a flange on its perimeter, extending inferiorly and securing the insert to the superior and lateral aspects of the neck of the container. The vent opens at the volumetric center of the reservoir above the conically shaped venting tube depending from the reservoir, where the venting tube has a conical shape of decreasing diameter.

  • Publication number: 20080217282
Abstract: A nursing bottle (1) formed of a large volume container, incorporating a vent tube (3) that extends inwardly of the container, having a vent port (4) arranged approximately at the volumetric midpoint (12) of the container, so as to allow for venting of pressure, whether of excessive or vacuum, to the atmosphere, at all times. The volumetric capacity of the nursing bottle container may be formed of a spherical shape (1), hemispherical shape (40), cylindrical shape (18), or to other configurations that provide for the internal volumetric capacity so that any formula placed therein will be prevented from blocking the vent port (4), the vent tube (3), regardless of the angular disposition undertaken by the nursing bottle during usage.

  • Publication number: 20080195371
Abstract: A method is disclosed to synchronously generate from a single stenographic input two or more streaming text outputs each comprising a different language. The method provides a stenographic data stream comprising a plurality of first language-based encoded words, and synchronously forms a first language streaming text output and a second language streaming text output.

  • Patent number: 6719091
Abstract: A coaxial speaker system that includes an acoustic bass resonator, a lower speaker case that extends from the acoustic bass resonator, an upper speaker case that extends from the lower speaker case, and a coaxial speaker that interfaces with both the lower and upper speakers cases. The acoustic bass resonator and the lower and upper speaker cases are each tubular. The acoustic bass resonator has a pair of ports that extend therethrough. The lower speaker case has a pair of bass ports that extend through diametrically opposite sides thereof, a first diffuser panel that extends coaxially therein, and a second diffuser panel that extends coaxially therein, perpendicular to the first diffuser panel. The upper speaker case has a port that extends therethrough and is generally parabolic-shaped, and a high frequency deflector panel that is generally parabolic-shaped, extends skewly rearwardly therein, and cooperates with the port therein.

  • Publication number: 20020116254
Abstract: An apparatus and method provide a mechanism by which an insurance adjuster or a contractor can accurately inventory damage to a building and calculate the total cost of repairing that damage. A plurality of sheets contain printed indicia representing different building elements that may need to be evaluated in appraising the damage. An input device, such as a barcode reader, is used to scan a selected indicium and provides a signal to a portable computer. The portable computer stores a table of the cost for each of the building elements and the signal is employed to access the cost in the table for the selected building element. That cost is added to the total damage cost and information about the selected building element is stored by the computer. After information for all of the damaged building elements has been entered into the computer, a report is generated detailing the damaged elements, the cost of each one, and the total cost of the damage to the building.

  • Patent number: 6226431
Abstract: An optical fiber cable which is constructed so as to minimize optical transmission loss, and which comprises one or more compliant core units retained within a surrounding sheath. Each compliant core unit is composed of a bundle of parallel optical fibers, such as a stack of ribbons, enclosed in and supported by a compliant unitizing structure. The structure may derive its compliance from a foamed material, such as polyethylene, that is extruded to surround the fiber bundle. The foam material sufficiently cushions the bundle of fibers from external stresses that are applied when the cable is bent or encounters compressive loading.
