Abstract: A non-aqueous cosmetic composition suitable as mascara, eyeliner, or lipstick comprising a dispersing agent in an amount sufficient to permit a high content of cosmetically acceptable solids, e.g. colorants, waxes, dry powders and solids.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition free of mineral oil and free of lanolin includes effective amounts of the following cosmetically acceptable ingredients (components): (A) at least one wax; (B) at least one triglyceride; (C) a mixture of esters including (i) a mixture of esters with a first mixture (i) having a maximum acid value 0.5 and a saponification value of 268-288; and a second mixture (ii) having a maximum acid value of 0.5 and a saponification value of 206-226; (D) distarch phosphate; (E) at least one bulking agent; (F) at least one colorant; and (G) optionally, at least one preservative. The composition is preferably formed into a cosmetic stick shape.

Abstract: A novel mascara composition is disclosed. The composition comprises: (a) an effective amount of water; (b) an effective amount of microsphere particles selected from the group consisting of silica beads, polymethylmethacrylate beads, and combinations thereof; and (c) an effective amount of a water dispersible, high molecular weight, amorphous anionic polyester polymer having an approximate molecular weight, MN, of about 14,000 to about 16,000 and a melt viscosity at 200.degree. C. of about 2000 to about 42,000 poise as measured with a Sieglaff-McKelvey Capillary Rheometer, 100 sec.sup.-1 shear rate. The polyester polymer is added to the mascara composition as a water dispersion having a solids content of not more than about 40% by weight of the dispersion. Prepared mascara compositions contain silica beads polymethylmethacrylate beads and an effective amount of the emulsifier C12-C15 alcohols benzoate.

Abstract: A lipstick composition comprising a gloss-enhancing amount i.e. about 0.5 to about 8 weight percent of isohexadecane in a conventional lipstick formulation is disclosed.
