  • Publication number: 20240161160
Abstract: Techniques described herein include providing payment and access infrastructure for an array of transportation services, such as a set of transit or mobility services that might be provided by one or more governments, public agencies, and/or other public entities. In one example, this disclosure describes a method that includes enabling, by a computing system, a user to register for mobility benefits using a verification system, wherein the mobility benefits are provided by a provider entity; receiving, by the computing system and from the verification system, information about the user; establishing, by the computing system, an account linked to the provider entity; detecting, by the computing system, a request to access mobility benefits; allocating, by the computing system, funds from the account to pay for the mobility benefits.

  • Publication number: 20240078386
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are presented for generating natural language models using a novel system architecture for feature extraction. A method for extracting features for natural language processing comprises: accessing one or more tokens generated from a document to be processed; receiving one or more feature types defined by user; receiving selection of one or more feature types from a plurality of system-defined and user-defined feature types, wherein each feature type comprises one or more rules for generating features; receiving one or more parameters for the selected feature types, wherein the one or more rules for generating features are defined at least in part by the parameters; generating features associated with the document to be processed based on the selected feature types and the received parameters; and outputting the generated features in a format common among all feature types.

  • Patent number: 5577706
Abstract: A water faucet with automatic shut-off for stopping water flow when a hose is removed from the faucet is provided with a housing member that includes an internal chamber, a water inlet port, and a water discharge port having a threaded distal end that is connectable to the end of a water hose. A slide valve is slideably retained within the water discharge port. The slide valve extends from slightly beyond the threaded distal end of the water discharge port into the internal chamber when in a normally closed condition. At least one aperture is formed adjacent the proximal end of the slide valve to allow flow through the slide valve from the internal chamber when the slide valve is moved into an open condition. A seating mechanism is provided adjacent the at least one aperture for preventing water flow from the internal chamber into the slide valve when the slide valve is in the normally closed condition.

  • Patent number: 5392066
Abstract: An in-store advertising system for displaying advertisements involves preparing graphical art from the actual products or from flat art, for each advertised product. Each frame is stored in computer memory as a digital graphics file. As desired, pricing and advertising copies are added as overlays to the digital art of each frame. Control data is defined for each frame indicating its destination location(s) and the run time for each destination location. The digital graphic files containing a digital frame and the respective control data for each frame are then loaded into an uplink control computer. The control data is analyzed by the uplink computer to compute an adlist which lists the digital frames and their respective destination locations. The uplink control computer is interfaced to a satellite addressable network control system (ANCS) to unmute the desired satellite receiver(s) at the remote location(s), based upon a predefined transmission script.

  • Patent number: 4244698
Abstract: A method of drying hydrated crystalline magnesium sulfate to reduce its surface moisture content is disclosed. The method comprises: (a) fluidizing a bed of hydrated crystalline magnesium sulfate particles by continuously passing a heated gaseous medium in a generally upwardly direction through the particles at a superficial velocity at least sufficient to maintain turbulent fluidization and mixing of the particles throughout the bed; (b) transferring a dispersed form of hydrated crystalline magnesium sulfate to be dried into the fluidized bed; (c) maintaining the amount of crystalline magnesium sulfate within the fluidized bed at a constant depth; (d) controlling the temperature and relative humidity of the heated gaseous medium to maintain a bed temperature and humidity sufficient to vaporize at least a portion of the surface moisture from the hydrated crystalline magnesium sulfate without removing waters of hydration; and (e) removing dried hydrated crystalline magnesium sulfate from the bed.
