  • Patent number: 6932224
Abstract: A lockable fishing rod rack for holding a multiple number of fishing rods made of materials resisting corrosion and compatible with the environment in which a first rack member and a second rack member are slideable relative to each other so that in one position of the racks the lock can be placed in position and upon sliding movement of the racks relative to each other the rack is closed to the removal of fishing rods and can be held in that position by a lock preventing relative movement of the two rack members.

  • Publication number: 20030168009
Abstract: Methods and apparata for plasma treatment provide a passage through dielectric material, which may be solid material (such as ceramic) or fluid material (such as appropriate liquids or gels). Electrodes are situated outside and adjacent to the passage, and they apply an electric field within the passage to generate plasma from gas traveling within the passage. The object to be plasma treated is situated within the passage, and process gas is supplied (1) to the passage between the exterior of the object and the surface of the passage walls if plasma treatment of the exterior surface of the object is desired; (2) within the interior of the object (as where the object is a hollow tube) if plasma treatment of the interior of the object is desired; or (3) both outside and inside the object and within the passage if plasma treatment of both exterior and interior surfaces is desired.

  • Patent number: 6604837
Abstract: A device for holding a light emitting source, including flashlights having incandescent bulbs or light emitting diodes (L.E.D.s), to provide a hands-free light source. The device comprises a clip that is configured for attachment to a support and a member that is attached thereto and extends outwardly therefrom. The member has a hole therethrough that is sized and configured to receive a portion of a light source therein. Many light sources are comprised of at least two parts, that are attachable to one another. A portion of one of the parts is receivable through the hole in the member and is attached to the other one of the two parts, thereby attaching the light source to the member. The clip is then attached to a support to provide a hands free light source.

  • Patent number: 6082292
Abstract: A surface treatment gas reactor features a reactor housing and a roller assembly for transporting a bi-dimensional material into and out of a gas reaction chamber. The reactor housing has a reactive gas inlet port and gas outlet or vacuum ports formed therein. Electrodes are mounted within the reactor housing between the gas inlet port and the gas outlet port such that a reactive gas admitted into the reaction chamber through the gas inlet port must pass through a plasma curtain generated by the electrodes before passing out of the outlet ports. The roller assembly includes a central roller having a grounded surface for transporting a bi-dimensional substrate through the reaction chamber on the surface thereof. The central roller is sized so as to reduce the active volume of the reaction chamber. Inside sealing rollers mounted adjacent to the central roller surface have compliant surfaces which form material transport contact points between the central roller and the inside sealing rollers.

  • Patent number: 6054018
Abstract: A surface treatment gas reactor features a roller assembly for transporting a bi-dimensional material into and out of a gas reaction chamber. Either a four-roller or a three-roller assembly may be employed. The roller assembly is configured such that the surface area of the rollers in the roller assembly which are exposed to the interior of the reaction chamber is minimized. Thus, most of the rollers in the roller assembly are located outside of the reaction chamber. Active volume of the reaction chamber is reduced to a minimum by a large freely rotating roller and a specially shaped support piece mounted in the reaction chamber to occupy most of the dead volume in the reaction chamber. A bi-dimensional substrate to be treated is transported by the roller system and the freely rotating roller through a plasma generated in the reaction chamber by electrodes mounted in a removable electrode holder within the chamber. Axial ends of the rollers in the roller system are sealed with minimum surface contact.

  • Patent number: 4245148
Abstract: A control circuit is disclosed suitable for use with a toaster or other food browning device which utilizes a radiant energy source to brown food. A light sensitive variable resistor, or photocell, is optically coupled to light reflected from the food being browned in the device. A voltage generated by a voltage divider including the light sensitive resistor therein is compared with a preselectable voltage generated by a second voltage divider to determine whether the heat source should be turned on or off. Suitable solid state control circuitry is provided to ensure that a start-up delay is provided at the beginning of each browning cycle and to reset the circuit for future operation when the desired browning of the food is achieved.
