Patent number: 11972581Abstract: This disclosure presents a process to determine an alignment parameter for geosteering a wellbore undergoing drilling operations. The process can receive one or more azimuthal image log data sets, one or more geology logs, and other input parameters. The image log data sets can be transformed to better approximate the geology logs, such as transforming a 3D representation to a 2D representation and flattening out curves represented in the original image log data. The geology logs or transformed image log data can then be moved to create an approximate alignment between the other log data. The movement, which can be a sliding movement, a linear movement, a tilting movement, an angling movement, or a rotating movement, can be used to determine the determined alignment parameter or final alignment parameter. The alignment parameter can be used as input into a geosteering system for the wellbore.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2021Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.Inventors: Jeremy James Combs, William David Bethancourt, Renata Da Gama Saintive, Clinton Keith Bates, Robert Grant Gillson, III

Publication number: 20240134650Abstract: In a processing system, a conversion circuit coupled to a system bus generates a flow control unit (FLIT) and provides the FLIT to a link interface circuit for transmission over an external link. The external link may be a peripheral component interface (PCI) express (PCIe) link coupled to an external device comprising a cache or memory. The conversion circuit generates the FLIT, including write information based on the write instruction, metadata associated with at least one cache line, and cache line chunks, including bytes of a cache line. The cache line chunks may be chunks of one of the at least one cache line. Including the metadata in the FLIT avoids separately transmitting the at least one cache line and the metadata over the external link, which improves performance compared to generating separate transmissions. In some examples, the FLIT corresponds to a compute express link (CXL) protocol FLIT.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventor: Robert James Safranek

Publication number: 20240130649Abstract: A method for factory calibration of a sensor of a CGM system is disclosed. A processor receives an enzyme membrane thickness after each dip of a working wire according to first parameters. The processor receives a glucose limiting membrane thickness after each dip of the working wire according to second parameters. The processor determines a working wire diameter, and includes the membrane thicknesses. The processor in communication with the CGM system, automatically generates a correlation between the first and the second parameters to at least one of a factory sensitivity and a drift profile. The drift profile predicts a sensitivity of the sensor over time. The processor associates the at least one of the factory sensitivity or the drift profile with the sensor. The sensor outputs a glucose reading during in-vivo use based on the at least one of the factory sensitivity or the drift profile.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Applicant: Zense-Life Inc.Inventors: Robert James Boock, Huashi Zhang, Nelson Chun Man To, Sai Kit Wu, Michael Wheelock, Sarah Esparza, Qinyi Yan
