  • Publication number: 20240139957
Abstract: A mobile robotic system for providing on-demand assistance is disclosed. In an example, the robotic system includes a platform, at least two wheels connected to the platform and driven by respective motors, and a housing connected to the platform. The housing includes a display screen and a telescoping section to enable the housing to increase in height. The robotic system additionally includes a first robotic arm connected to a first side of the housing, a first end-effector rotatably connected to the first robotic arm, a second robotic arm connected to an opposite, second side of the housing, a second end-effector rotatably connected to the second robotic arm, and a processor communicatively coupled to motors within the first robotic arm, the first end-effector, the second robotic arm, and the second end-effector. The processor may include an application programming interface to enable third-party applications to expand the capabilities of the robotic system.

  • Publication number: 20230409027
Abstract: A remote control display management system is disclosed. In an example, a remote control apparatus for unmanned systems includes a display screen for displaying graphic elements and a memory device storing a file for a graphic element and display parameters for displaying the graphic element. The apparatus also includes a processor and an application programming interface (“API”). The processor receives a command message from a host computer via the API. The command message includes at least one parameter value. The processor determines the command message is related to the graphic element stored in the memory device, and causes the graphic element to be displayed on the display screen by applying the at least one parameter value to the display parameters. The disclosed apparatus enables feature-rich high resolution graphics to be displayed on a remote control regardless of a connection speed with a host computer.

  • Publication number: 20230197034
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are disclosed for overcoming latency and loss of signal detection in remote control displays. An exemplary system includes a remote control, a host computing device, and one or more target systems communicatively coupled to each other over a wired and/or wireless network. One method includes receiving, by the remote control and from a host computing device, a first video frame captured by a target device, determining a first time corresponding to receipt of the first video frame, receiving, from the host computing device, a second video frame, determining a second time corresponding to receipt of the second video frame, comparing the time difference to a latency threshold, and causing an alert graphic element to be displayed indicating a latency in communication.

  • Publication number: 20230111676
Abstract: A mobile robotic arm configured to provide on-demand assistance is disclosed. In an example, a robotic system includes a platform, at least two wheels connected to the platform and driven by respective motors, a robotic arm having a base that is connected to the platform, an end-effector connected to the robotic arm at an end opposite the base, and a processor communicatively coupled to the respective motors, the robotic arm, and the end-effector. The processor is configured to receive a command or determine that an item has fallen on a floor, locate the item on the floor, determine a distance and a heading to the item, cause the respective motors to move the platform to the item within range of the robotic arm, cause the robotic arm to grasp the item with the end-effector, and cause the robotic arm to provide the item to a user.
