  • Patent number: 11326712
Abstract: A valve assembly includes an actuator adapted to drive movement of a valve member between an open position and a closed position. The valve assembly also includes a bonnet coupled to the actuator and a valve body coupled to the bonnet, the bonnet arranged between at least a portion of the actuator and the valve body. The valve assembly further includes a quick connector adapted to couple the bonnet to the valve body. The quick connector includes a plurality of bonnet lugs separated by a plurality of spaces, the plurality of bonnet lugs extending radially outward from an axis. The quick connector also includes a plurality of valve body lugs configured to interact with the plurality of bonnet lugs, the plurality of bonnet lugs being arranged to axially align with the plurality of valve body lugs to block axial movement of the bonnet with respect to the valve body.

  • Patent number: 7975983
Abstract: A split gate is movably mounted within a valve body along a valve axis between valve seats. The split gate has gates, each extending between one of the valve seats and the other gate. In an open position, gate holes register with a fluid aperture and the valve seats to permit fluid flow. In the closed position, the holes do not register with the fluid aperture to prevent fluid flow. The split gate valve also has a gate guide located in the body for moving the gates with respect to the valve seats along the fluid axis. The gate guide forces the pair of gates apart along the fluid axis and into contact with the valve seats in both the open and closed positions. The gates have axial play along the fluid axis when the split gate is between the open and closed positions.

  • Patent number: 6929244
Abstract: A gate valve has seat rings pressed into counterbores to form seals. Each counterbore is located at an intersection of a flow passage with a central cavity of a body of the gate valve. The counterbore has a cylindrical constant diameter sidewall. The seat ring has an outer end that forms a pilot section and is of smaller outer diameter than the inner diameter of the counterbore. The seat ring also has an outer portion that is of equal or larger diameter than the inner portion, defining an interference section. The interference section creates an interference fit with the counterbore, forming a seal.

  • Patent number: 4770250
Abstract: A lock pin for locking a pipe hanger assembly in a wellhead is hydraulically actuated. The lock pin extends through a radial passage provided in the wellhead. The lock pin moves linearly to an inner position to engage the hanger assembly. A hydraulic piston is coupled to the exterior of the wellhead for providing an inward force to the lock pin. A retainer is mounted to the wellhead by threads. While the lock pin is held in the inner position under hydraulic pressure, the retainer is rotated inward against a shoulder provided on the lock pin to hold the lock pin in the inner engaged position. The hydraulic pressure can then be removed.
