  • Publication number: 20240099595
Abstract: An interface pressure sensor includes a fluid pressure sensor disposed in a volume defined by a shear wall. The volume is enclosed, and the fluid pressure sensor is encapsulated by, an infill material. The infill material defines a sensing surface that, when pressed, can impart a force that is detectable by the fluid pressure sensor.

  • Publication number: 20220400959
Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for determining blood pressure of a user. Embodiments can include a restriction device that is configured to apply an external pressure cycle to a blood vessel of the user and a pressure sensing device that is configured to detect pressures within the blood vessel during the external pressure cycle and output a signal indicative of the detected pressures. Embodiments can also include a processing device that is configured to receive the signal from the pressure sensing device, determine a first set of pressure values corresponding to minimum pressure values for each pulse pressure wave and determine a second set of pressure values corresponding to pressure upstrokes that occur during a descending pressure phase of a respective pulse pressure wave. The system can determine a blood pressure parameter of the user based on the first set of pressure values and the second set of pressure values.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relate s to blood pressure monitoring. In some embodiments, methods and devices for measuring a mean arterial pressure and/or for monitoring blood pressure changes of a user are provided. Blood pressure measured by one or more pressure sensors may be adjusted using one or more correction factors. The use of the one or more correction factors disclosed herein may allow for more compact, convenient, and/or accurate wearable blood pressure measurement devices and methods. In particular, wrist-worn devices may be provided which are less bulky than current devices and may facilitate more frequent and accurate blood pressure monitoring.
