Abstract: A lethal service header box for use in manufacturing an air cooled heat exchanger having a front and a back plate, a top and a bottom plate and a left and a right end plate, each of the six plates having a planar external surface and each having an internal surface configured such that the header box is assembled by welding together the six plates, all welding being accomplished exteriorly of the box and within a wedge shaped cross-sectional environment in which the inner terminus of each weld cross-section is at a narrow weld ledge of at least one of the plates.

Abstract: A means for supporting a heat exchanger formed of spaced apart headers with finned tubes extending therebetween, the headers being supported between parallel opposed structural members, the support means including brackets having horizontal portions on which each of the headers rests and clip affixed to the headers adjacent each bracket, each clip having a horizontal portion extending below and parallel the brackets, and stops adjacent the clips to limit the horizontal movement of the headers.

Abstract: An air cooled exchanger is provided with a plurality of individual wind screens which are disposed to prevent wind from entering the exchanger, without adversely affecting normal cooling air flow. The load of the wind screens is carried by the exchanger; in particular, the tube frame.
