  • Patent number: 12000933
Abstract: An operating method for a LIDAR system. A laser device that includes an optical modulator optically coupled thereto for receiving and modulating the frequency of non-modulated light emitted by the laser device, using a frequency modulation function, and for outputting frequency-modulated light as primary light into a visual field, is used as a light source unit. Secondary light received from the visual field and non-modulated light of the laser device are optically superimposed to form superimposed detection light. The superimposed detection light is photoelectrically detected by generating and outputting a primary electrical detection signal that is representative of the detection light. For the evaluation, the primary electrical detection signal is electrically mixed with an electrical signal that is representative of the frequency modulation function of the optical modulator to form a first evaluation signal, and is assessed.

  • Patent number: 11988737
Abstract: A method for encoding and storing digital data, which include a plurality of real values, in a signal processing unit of a radar sensor in which at least one real value r in an exponential representation in the form r=m·b?k is stored, where m is a digital mantissa having a length p, b is a base, and k is a positive number that is encoded as a digital number having a length q. An exponential representation with b>2 is used for the compressed storage of the values r.

  • Patent number: 11579279
Abstract: A method for encoding and storing digital data, which include a plurality of real values, in a signal processing unit of a radar sensor. In the method, at least one real value r in an exponential representation in the form r=m·b?k is stored, where m is a digital mantissa having a length p, b is a base, and k is a positive number that is encoded as a digital number having a length q. The values r for the compressed storage are transformed into an exponential representation in the form r=m*·b?f(k), where m* is the mantissa and f is a function of k that is selected from multiple functions, and the selection of function f takes place based on a value distribution of the values to be stored.

  • Publication number: 20220091226
Abstract: A method for evaluating radar signals in a radar system including multiple sensor units, which are each capable of detecting objects in the surroundings of the radar system, the detection areas of the sensor units at least overlapping one another. In the method, each sensor unit calculates a short message from the radar signals received by it, whose data volume is smaller than the complete detection result, but which at least contains data which allow for the identification of potential objects and for the determination of a probability that the potential object is a real object, and at least one evaluation instance receives the entirety of all short messages of all sensor units and, on the basis of these short messages and selected detection results of the sensor units, calculates a consolidated detection result.

  • Publication number: 20160029610
Abstract: An equine bony column and tissue support is configured to prevent or treat lameness in a hoof of a horse where the lameness is based on a bony column dysfunction or instability. The equine bony column and tissue support includes a hoof bridge which includes a composition of matter with a hardness between Shore A Durometer of 85 and a Rockwell K of 150 bonded to the hoof. The composition of matter provides central loading support that redistributes weight from a perimeter of an outer hoof horn to the bony column and bony tissue to stabilize and realigns the bony column.
