  • Publication number: 20220040504
Abstract: This disclosure describes electrical control and power supply systems for powered air-purifying respirators (PAPRs). An exemplary electrical control system for a PAPR may be adapted to control the supply of power between a battery and a blower motor of a filtration unit of the PAPR. The electrical control system may include a plurality of integrated circuits that are capable of meeting minimum operating times while balancing power usage of various “off-the-shelf” components of the filtration unit.

  • Patent number: 9795198
Abstract: A wearable or stationary cognitive reminder for mechanical and electronic tracking of highly repeatable actions represented by selectable indicia on a band performed by moving a slide-able “window” frame and a bezel ring slider. Examples of use are: pill dosage counter, golf bracelet scorer, and bracelet voting device. Chosen indicia position and clock time are recorded and transmitted to non-included electronic device for further characterization or action. Non-included data receivers include cell phones, data tracking devices, or electronic games. Transferred data is available for continuous tracking, compilation, additional action, and verification of selected indicia.

  • Publication number: 20170233128
Abstract: A method and a device for applying a shrink film sleeve to a container is provided. The method includes perforating the shrink film sleeve at predefined intervals, expanding the perforated shrink film sleeve by means of an expansion device, such as an expansion mandrel, conveying the expanded shrink film sleeve along the expansion device by a conveyor roller pair, tearing off the shrink film sleeve at the perforation by means of a downstream dispensing roller pair whose conveying speed is at least temporarily higher than the conveying speed of the conveyor roller pair, and shooting the torn-off shrink film sleeve onto the container.

  • Patent number: 8646588
Abstract: A locking device for flaps or doors. A door or flap lock serves as a protection against collisions of objects or persons with moving or rotating machine parts, with the possibility of unlocking the door or flap lock by manual operation. A movable bolt is manually operable via a lever, handle, or knob. The bolt includes several engagement elements for interlocking with a housing- or frame-anchored receiving element. The interlocking engagement and receiving elements make it necessary at least on opening the flap or door to repeatedly operate the lever, handle, or knob in at least two opposite directions of movement, pivot, or turning.

  • Publication number: 20110168517
Abstract: A locking device for flaps or doors that are pivotable in or on a frame or housing. The invention in particular includes a door or flap lock that serves as a protection against collisions of objects and/or persons with moving or rotating machine parts, with the possibility of unlocking said door or flap lock by manual operation. The locking device includes a movable bolt disposed on the pivotable flap or door with said bolt being manually operable via a lever, handle, or knob and interlocking with a receiving opening for the bolt that is disposed on the frame. The bolt includes several engagement elements for interlocking with a housing- or frame-anchored receiving element, with said engagement elements arranged along the direction of the bolt's longitudinal axis, which approximately corresponds to the direction of movement of the bolt on opening or closing the pivotable flap or door.
