  • Patent number: 7007243
Abstract: A digital image production and display method and apparatus produce digital images (102) that include at least one iconic region (104) having one or more location icons (106) with a likeness corresponding to the geographic location at which a digital image was captured. The capture location iconic region (104) contains several hierarchical layers of linked icons (106.1–106.n) varying from a general geographic location to a more specific one. A click on a thumbnail button in an icon displays a new icon with greater specificity of the geographic location of where the image was captured, culminating in one or more user-chosen icons representing very specific locations (106.1–106.5), and in the preferred embodiment, a hyperlink to a sponsor-chosen web site (106.n) on the World Wide Web. The icons are chosen from an icon library (432) to correspond to Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) information generated by a GPS receiver (424) integrated with or proximate with a digital camera (402) when an image is captured.

  • Patent number: 6628326
Abstract: A wireless communications system for transmitting and receiving images and audio information includes a receiver including a display for displaying received images and a speaker for producing audio signals, a processing unit for storing ID code signals for decoding the received images and audio signals and receives an RF signal containing images and audio information. The receiver is responsive to the ID code signal for extracting the received image and audio signals of the images and the audio information from the RF signal. An electronic camera has an image sensor for capturing one or more images of a scene and producing image signals, and receives audio signals to produce audio information signals. A second processing unit is provided for encoding and then superimposing the image and audio signals onto an RF carrier, and transmits the RF carrier and superimposed signals.

  • Patent number: 5010449
Abstract: A method for assuring that a multi-layer circuit board has been assembled in a selected order which method incorporates the step of forming a label on each layer of the multi-layer circuit board, with each of the labels having a unique indicia thereon indicative of that layers position in a correctly assembled multi-layer circuit board. Additionally, there is provided the step of forming a transparent area in each layer above the last layer to be viewed, with the size of each transparent area limited to that necessary to view only the indicia of the following correctly assembled layers, such that an incorrectly ordered layer prevents the viewing of at least one indicia. A replication of the labels, commencing from the last ordered layer to the first ordered layer, provides for a doubling in the number of layers that can be checked for correct assembly order.
