  • Patent number: 5778896
Abstract: A pipe for use in smoking tobacco including a hollow stem having a mouth end structured as a small tool socket for grasping nuts and bolt heads, and for holding a removable screw driver rod. A tobacco bowl at the opposite end of the stem includes a sidewall defining an open mouth with the sidewall structured as a tool socket. The pipe can be stored by insertion into an elongated tubular hollow housing having a relatively large tool socket at one end, and a smaller tool socket at the opposite end in a sidewall of the housing. In a sidewall of the housing adjacent to the smaller socket is a receiving notch with inward extending lips. The pipe bowl extends 90 degrees to the stem and includes multiple grooves on its exterior surface to allow the bowl to be inserted into and grasped by the receiving notch lips to define a generally L-shaped or T-shaped overall tool shape for grasping by hand for use of the included sockets and screw driver.

  • Patent number: 5303439
Abstract: A bicycle tool kit which provides either a number of open end or box style wrenches in a plate-like web attached to an end of an elongated handle. Attached to the top of the handle is a chain link remover for repairing broken links of bicycle chains. The threaded shaft of the chain link remover is adapted for removably retaining a separate deep socket and two allen wrenches, one of which has a screw driver tip. A wrench is also provided for adjusting the tension of the spokes of the bicycle wheels. The bicycle tool kit is structured to be lightweight, compact, and highly portable, and yet still offer most of the tools necessary for making adjustments and repairs to a bicycle should a problem develope while riding.

  • Patent number: 5251341
Abstract: A multipurpose bicycle tool structured for removable storage within an open-ended tube of a bicycle. The open-ended tube of the bicycle may be the handlebar end or the bottom end of the seat post for example. The bicycle tool preferably includes a plurality of different size hexagonal sockets, a screw driver, a spoke wrench and a bicycle chain breaker which serve to allow the repair or adjustment of the majority of mechanical problems occurring during use of the bicycle. The bicycle tool is releasably securable for storage within the open-ended tube of the bicycle by way of an expandable and contractible member which when expanded or outwardly extended applies frictional adhesion or binding between the expanded member of the tool and the interior wall of the open-ended tube of the bicycle.

  • Patent number: 4967435
Abstract: A bicycle tool kit which provides a small adjustable open end wrech with an elongated handle to which is affixed a chain link remover for repairing broken links of bicycle chains. The threaded shaft of the chain link remover is adapted for removably retaining a socket and two allen wrenches for adjustment of various hardware components of the bicycle. The jaws of the adjustable open end wrench are also adapted for adjusting the tension of the spokes of the bicycle wheels. The allen wrenches can be assembled onto the head of the adjustable open end wrench and the handle of the link remover in various positions to provide leverage for several repair applications of the device. Useful accessory tool heads are provided which can be gripped in the jaws of the adjustable open end wrench using the handle as a lever. The kit is compact and fits into a pocket sized carrying pouch.
