  • Publication number: 20190362368
Abstract: The system includes a communication system that continuously pulls category data for target categories from an online consumer platform at a first frequency. The communication system also continuously pulls product data for target products from a third-party data source and the online consumer platform at a second frequency, where the second frequency is higher than the first frequency. The system also includes a processor system that uses the category data and the product data to dynamically adjust a listing of target categories and a listing of target products. This data is also used to infer the actions of the users and automatically generate a predicted action for which a user can execute.

  • Patent number: 10169111
Abstract: A unified mechanism for storing device, application, and service state, as well as a rich notification brokerage architecture includes a notification broker. Clients register with the notification broker to receive notifications for changes to state properties. When a registered state property changes, a notification broker determines which clients to notify of the state change and provides the client with a notification regarding the change. Clients may be notified whenever a state changes, when a state change meets a predetermined condition, or based on a schedule. An application may also be launched in response to a state change. An application programming interface (API) is provided that provides a unified way of accessing state change information across different components within the device.

  • Patent number: 9959259
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method of analyzing an unstructured document. The method receiving the unstructured document that includes a number of primitive graphic elements, each of which is defined as a single object in the unstructured document. The unstructured document has a drawing order that indicates the order in which the primitive graphic elements are drawn when the unstructured document is displayed. The method identifies positional relationships between successive primitive graphic elements in the drawing order. Based on the positional relationships, the method defines a single structural graphic element from several of the primitive graphic elements.

  • Publication number: 20180078611
Abstract: This document provides novel compositions and methods utilizing immunomodulating agents that can stimulate or indirectly augment the immune system, or can have an immunosuppressive effect. TNFR25 agonists disclosed herein have an anti-inflammatory and healing effect. They can be used, e.g., to treat disease caused by asthma and chronic inflammation, such as inflammatory bowel diseases including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's Disease. TNFR25 antagonists disclosed herein can inhibit CD8 T cell-mediated cellular immune responses and can, for example, mitigate organ or tissue rejection following a tissue transplantation. TNFR25 agonists disclosed herein represent biological response modifiers that alter the interaction between the body's cellular immune defenses and cancer cells to boost, direct, or restore the body's ability to fight the cancer when given with tumor vaccines.

  • Patent number: 9575945
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method that parses an unstructured document that includes a number of primitive elements. The method stores the primitive elements in a random order in a first storage. The method stores references to the primitive elements in a second storage in an order based on locations of the primitive elements in the unstructured document. The method receives instructions to perform a document reconstruction operation. The method performs the received instructions without storing any new references to the primitive elements.

  • Patent number: 9552126
Abstract: A control system is disclosed that is configurable (e.g., by a programmer) so as to enable input from multiple sources to capture to multiple controls. Also or alternatively, the system is configurable so as to enable input from multiple sources to capture to a single control. The system also provides a consistent and extendable scheme for filtering out conflicting events for individual controls. In one embodiment, this means that the system is configurable (e.g., based on the programmer's asserted preferences) so as to enable a selective determination as to whether additional inputs can be captured for a given control.

  • Patent number: 9482145
Abstract: A toroidal combustion chamber shape with side injectors is being developed for an opposed-piston engine. Favorable combustion characteristics of such configuration are transferred to a conventional engine, i.e., one with a combustion chamber delimited by a piston, a cylinder wall, and a cylinder head. At least one injector is disposed in the cylinder head at the periphery. The fuel is injected substantially along the plane of interface between the cylinder head and the cylinder block. The intake system is configured to provide a swirling flow in the combustion chamber. The fuel is injected in an angle that is displaced from the central axis of the cylinder and directed along the swirl. In some embodiments, a substantially torus-shaped volume is formed between the piston and the cylinder head when the piston is at top center. The injector or injectors spray fuel into the toroidally-shaped volume substantially tangent to the torus.

  • Patent number: 9460063
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for displaying a structured document that includes a hierarchy of structural elements. The hierarchy is constructed by analyzing an unstructured document. The method displays the structured document on a device. The method receives a selection of a position of interest in the document. Based on the position of interest, the method identifies a structural element within the hierarchy as a region of interest. The method modifies the display of the document to highlight the identified region of interest.
