  • Patent number: 11550958
Abstract: A Software in the Loop (SiL) system and method is disclosed which may include a simulator operable to provide an environment to simulate dynamic systems, enable rapid development, validation of systems, and testing of complex systems. The system and method may include assembling one or more unsecured models operable to simulate the real-world system. The system and method may then encrypt and generate at least one secured model from the one or more unsecured models using a first cryptographic key. The at least one secured model may be decrypted using a sealed decryption key. The decrypted secured model may then be executed within the one or more TEEs. The at least one secured model may be operable to process incoming data and outgoing data.

  • Publication number: 20110106353
Abstract: A method for operating a vehicle having a hybrid drive, which vehicle is driven by a first drive unit implemented as internal combustion engine, and a second drive unit, which may be an electric motor, the first drive unit and the second drive unit contributing to the drive of the vehicle individually or jointly. In a method for operating a vehicle having a hybrid drive, in which the driver is informed about the connection of the different drive units, haptic feedback is provided to the driver when the previously idle drive unit is connected to the drive unit that is in operation.

  • Patent number: 6923401
Abstract: A method for unwinding tacky elastomeric yarn from one or multiple coiled yarn packages includes the steps of (a) removing tubular cores from each yarn package to expose the beginning end of the yarn strand at the inner diameter of the yarn package; (b) forming a terminal end of the yarn strand at a position along the length of the strand between the inner diameter and outer diameter of the yarn package; (c) when unwinding multiple coiled yarn packages, attaching the terminal end of the first yarn package to a beginning end of a next yarn package; and (d) unwinding by pulling the beginning end of the first yarn package in a generally axial direction to remove yarn from the inside of the package from the inner diameter toward the outer diameter. This method provides inside-out unwinding of a single package, or continuous unwinding of multiple packages of elastomeric yarn at a reduced overall yarn tension, and minimizes unwinding tension spikes.

  • Patent number: 6122949
Abstract: A refurbishing device (10) for a fish tape (12) comprising a base (14) and three studs (16). An assembly (18) is for attaching the studs (16) in equally spaced apart locations through the base (14), so that the studs (16) will extend from a bottom side (20) of the base (14). A handle (22) is also provided. An assemblage (24) is for securing the handle (22) to a top side (20) of the base (14) opposite from the studs (16). A person (28) can grasp the handle (22) with a first hand (30) and pull the coiled fish tape (12) between the studs (16) approximately three times with a second hand (32), thus reconditioning the fish tape (12) to like a new, straight and usable condition.

  • Patent number: 5524852
Abstract: A third rail warning device in which the third rail carries in use a dangerously high voltage. Connected to the third rail is a source of relatively safe voltage as a warning that the dangerously high voltage is about to be applied to the third rail. A time delay is employed to terminate the safe voltage and permit automatic connection of the dangerously high voltage, and an alarm is actuated when the safe voltage is being applied to the third rail.
