  • Publication number: 20240069765
Abstract: A system can include a processing device operatively coupled with the one or more memory devices, to perform operations that include writing data to the one or more memory devices and performing one or more scan operations on a management unit containing the data to determine a current value of a chosen data state metric. Each scan operation can be performed using a corresponding predetermined read-time parameter value. The operations can include determining whether the current value of the chosen data state metric satisfies a criterion, and can also include, responsive to determining that the current value of the chosen data state metric satisfies the criterion, selecting a remedial operation by determining whether redundancy metadata is included in a fault tolerant data stripe on the one or more memory devices. The operations can also include performing the remedial operation with respect to the management unit.

  • Publication number: 20140363555
Abstract: A cupcake tray has spikes, such as paperboard spikes, that extend into a cupcake cavity. The spikes prevent the cupcake from popping up and out of the insert when the cupcake box is jarred. The spikes easily fold down when the cupcake is inserted, but provide resistance in the upward direction when the cupcake box is jarred. The cupcake tray has creased panels disposed about its outer periphery to fold downward to support the cupcake tray in a cupcake box at a desired height. Each cupcake cavity in the cupcake tray has cutouts, typically semi-circular cutouts, for a user to insert their fingers to remove the cupcakes without damaging them.

  • Patent number: 6608402
Abstract: Circuits and methods for controlling load sharing by multiple power supplies are provided. In preferred embodiments, load share controllers utilize multiple voltage control loops to monitor the output voltages that are being provided by multiple power supplies connected to a load. These voltage control loops each generate a voltage control voltage that is proportional to the difference between the actual output voltage of the corresponding power supply and the desired output voltage. The voltage control loop with the highest voltage control voltage then controls a current control voltage generated in a current control loop for each power supply via a share bus. These current control loops then regulate the current provided by the corresponding power supplies so that those currents are all proportional to the voltage on the share bus.

  • Patent number: 6018549
Abstract: An integrated cable-termination circuit is presented that can be selectably automatically configured to terminate a signal cable in conformance with one of a plurality of electrical interface standards, including, for example, CCITT/EIA standards V.11/RS-422 and V.35. Selected termination configurations are maintained when input voltages exceed power supply voltages or when power to the circuit is removed. A plurality of cable-termination circuits are provided to form an integrated selectable cable terminator for selectably terminating multiple cables, each in conformance with one of a plurality of electrical interface standards.

  • Patent number: 6005414
Abstract: A mixed-mode multi-protocol serial interface driver is presented. The driver operates in current-mode, voltage-mode, or both, and includes circuitry for conforming output signals to one of a plurality of selectable electrical interface standards, including, for example, CCITT/EIA standards V.35, V.11/RS-422, V.28/RS-232, and V.10/RS-423. A mode-select input signal selects a particular standard, and appropriate portions of the circuitry are enabled in response. Portions of the circuitry not enabled are placed in a high impedance state to prevent their interference with the enabled portions.

  • Patent number: 5305480
Abstract: The invention is a pull-out bed attachment apparatus for supporting a bed spread or similar articles. e.g. luggage at night. The attachment comprises a flat, stationary base board abutting the end of the bed, usually a mattress and box spring. The base board is in connection with at least two support boards that lie perpendicular to the base board and support the base board from between the mattresses. Movable dowel rods slide through apertures in the base board and are connected to a third board-the extension board. The dowel rods slide under the mattress and the extension board is pushed flush against the base board when not in use-typically during the day. When in use, the extension board and dowel rods provide an extended platform for supporting the bed spread.

  • Patent number: 4118729
Abstract: A service switch to permit set-up adjustment of a color image reproducing kinescope in a color television receiver. The receiver comprises a horizontal deflection circuit for providing a periodic horizontal deflection signal having a frequency synchronized by a sync signal derived from a composite color video signal, and means for deriving a receiver operating voltage from the periodic signal of a magnitude dependent upon the frequency of the periodic signal. The switch has "normal" and "service" positions, and is coupled to respective direct voltage control terminals of luminance and chrominance channels and a vertical deflection circuit of the receiver. In the "service" position, the switch renders the luminance and chrominance channels inoperative to couple signals, and vertical scanning is disabled, to permit set-up adjustment of the kinescope.

  • Patent number: 3983576
Abstract: A transversal equalizer is included in the luminance channel of a television receiver. Delayed video signals developed at taps of the transversal equalizer are combined to provide an output signal including preshoots and overshoots to accentuate amplitude transitions in the video signal so that, for example, a tonal transition from black to white is blacker than it normally would be just prior to the transition, and whiter than it normally would be just after the transition. The transversal equalizer includes provisions for selectively combining portions of predetermined delayed signals dependent upon the direction of the amplitude transitions such that preshoots and overshoots in one direction, e.g., the white direction, are relatively compressed or otherwise suppressed with respect to preshoots and overshoots in the other, i.e., black, direction.

  • Patent number: 3959811
Abstract: A service switch is provided for a color television receiver of the type including, in the order named, a black level clamping circuit, a brightness control circuit and an amplifier for coupling luminance signals to an image reproducing kinescope. A reserve blanking circuit is coupled to the output of the amplifier for rendering the kinescope inoperative during the vertical retrace-horizontal trace intervals to inhibit the formation of disconcerting horizontal trace lines. In a "raster" position, the service switch is operative to provide a blank raster and to automatically increase the brightness of the raster to a level sufficient to permit purity adjustments. In a "service" position, the service switch is operative to disable the operation of the reserve blanking circuit and to alter the brightness control circuit to permit color temperature adjustments.
