  • Publication number: 20220117890
Abstract: The technology disclosed in this specification pertains to an emulsion comprising (i) a continuous aqueous phase, (ii) an disperse oil phase comprising a cannabinoid, and (iii) an emulsifier which is gum arabic, wherein the weight ratio of gum arabic to said disperse oil phase is ?1:1. The emulsion may have a relatively small particle size with a relatively high oil load in combination. The emulsion may also have a small particle size without requiring a polysorbate or any co-surfactant.

  • Patent number: 10843123
Abstract: A method for recovering ammoniacal nitrogen, in the form of ammonium carbonate and/or ammonium bicarbonate, from an ammoniacal nitrogen-containing vapor that comprises introducing said vapor into at least one pressurizable ammonia scrubbing vessel containing water, simultaneously introducing a carbon dioxide-containing vapor into at least one pressurizable carbon dioxide scrubbing vessel containing water, and simultaneously pumping the solutions created in said scrubbers via hydrologic connections between said scrubbers to mix the solution to create an ammonium carbonate and/or ammonium bicarbonate containing mixture, all while maintaining independent and unmixed vapor streams throughout the entire process. The method further involves recovering ammonium carbonate and/or ammonium bicarbonate from the mixture for further use.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 4, 2018
Date of Patent: November 24, 2020

  • Patent number: 9376648
Abstract: A foam manipulation stabilizing composition for use in consumer products includes a plurality of surface-modified particles in combination with at least one surfactant. The particles have an average particle size greater than 100 nm up to about 50 ?m and a hydrophobicity measured by a contact angle between about 20° to 140°. The ratio of particles-to-surfactant may be between about 1:20 to about 20:1. The surface modification may include grafting pH or temperature switching functional groups to the particles or to a composition, such as a polymer, coated on the particle. A method for reducing the level of foam in a rinse solution is also described.
    Type: Grant
