Abstract: A mounting bracket (220) for a trapezoidal rib (204) is disclosed. The mounting bracket (220) includes an upper wall (224) in the form of a flat surface for supporting various types of attachments. An attachment may be secured relative to the mounting bracket (220) using a mounting hole (226) on the bracket upper wall (224). The bracket upper wall (224) is disposed above the trapezoidal rib (204) by a pair of rib offsetting members (246a/b) that are disposed within a hollow interior (248) of the mounting bracket (220), and that are seated on the upper wall (206) of the trapezoidal rib (204). A threaded fastener (114), engaged with the mounting hole (226) on the bracket upper wall (224) to secure an attachment relative to the mounting bracket (220), terminates within the hollow interior (248) of the mounting bracket (220).

  • Publication number: 20100171016
Abstract: Systems are presented for the installation of a cross member (32) on a roofing surface (12). In this regard, the systems generally provide for a low-profile cross member assembly (30) for securement to a standing seam (20) on a roofing surface (12). The cross member assembly (30) includes a mounting device (34) that is attachable to a standing seam (20) of a roofing surface (12) and a detachably mounted adapter (36) having a flat first adapter section (60) that may parallel the roofing surface (12). A second adapter section (62) forms a cross member-receiving aperture (74) with a closed perimeter to accommodate the cross member (32).

  • Publication number: 20070289233
Abstract: A panel assembly (40) that addresses oil canning when installed over a substrate or deck (72) is disclosed. The panel assembly (40) includes a panel (42). The panel (42) includes a first primary panel surface (44) that faces the substrate (72) in the installed configuration, as well as a second primary panel surface (46) that faces away from the substrate (72) in the installed configuration. Another component of the panel assembly (40) is a first structure (60) that is disposed between the panel (42) and the substrate (72). Typically, either a first surface (62) of the first structure (60) is chemically bonded directly to the first primary panel surface (44) such that an interface between the first surface (62) and the first primary panel surface (44) includes a chemical bond, or a second surface (64) is chemically bonded directly to the substrate (72) such that an interface between the second surface (64) and the substrate (72) includes a chemical bond.

  • Patent number: 7100338
Abstract: A multi-piece clamp for installation on a standing seam is disclosed. One component of the clamp is a clamp body with a clamp body slot formed therein. This slot is mounted on a standing seam without having to slide the clamp body onto an end of the seam. Another component of the clamp is at least one insert, where each such insert is disposed within the clamp body slot between a clamp body slot wall and the standing seam. One or more seam fasteners are directed through the clamp body and a clamp body slot wall to secure each of the inserts within the clamp body slot by a compression of the same, and further to secure the clamp to the standing seam.
