Publication number: 20160215927Abstract: Two pump oil level system and method for exchange of a fluid between an apparatus reservoir and a reserve reservoir. A first pump is connected to an apparatus reservoir to withdraw fluid to maintain a fluid level and to deliver fluid to a reserve reservoir. A second pump returns oil to the apparatus reservoir from the reserve reservoir. The first pump transfers fluid at a volume relatively larger than the second pump. The first and second pump flow conduits may have sensors installed to identify the fluid being pumped, such as air or oil, and a data processing device in communication with the sensors may evaluate fluid to determine system operation, and to estimate pump operating conditions and fluid viscosity in order to enhance pump flow by operation of heaters, and to verify correct maintenance of oil levels and that the reserve reservoir has oil. Data is suitable for transmitting.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2016Publication date: July 28, 2016Inventors: Richard Nelson, Robert M Nelson, Joe D Hedges

Patent number: 6567675Abstract: A method, and apparatus for practicing the method, for eliminating the necessity for manually dialing, on a wireless telephone, a local area code as a prefix to a call within the same area code in telephone systems in which such action is a requirement. Before a calling party institutes a call on a cellular telephone, the area code is semi-permanently stored in the cellular telephone. During the dialing process, after the seventh digit has been dialed and before an eighth digit has been dialed, a determination is made as to whether the “send” button has been actuated. If so, then the stored area code is prefixed to the seven dialed digits, and the resulting ten digit number is transmitted. If not, then the dialing continues until the “send” button is actuated at which time the fully dialed number is transmitted. Typically, the latter condition indicates that a long distance call is in process.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 1998Date of Patent: May 20, 2003Inventors: Howard B. Rosen, Robert M. Nelson

Patent number: 5806472Abstract: An electrically driven metering pump removes used oil in precise increments at a controllable rate of repetition from a safe operating level in the sump or reservoir of an engine, compressor, transmission or other power equipment; preferably in combination with means provided by a circulating oil supply system, in which withdrawal of oil from the sump is at a controlled running level and oil for removal is taken from a withdrawal path in the supply system, using a separator to exclude air from the oil removed. Oil removed by the metering pump is filtered and delivered to an electrically driven blending pump, which draws in engine fuel for combination with this oil by turbulence, repetitive transfer, heating and forced dispersion to produce a primary blend at a composition determined by the relative volumes of delivery per operating pulse and the relative rates of pulse repetition of the metering and blending pumps.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 1995Date of Patent: September 15, 1998Assignee: Robert E. Patent number: 5009927Abstract: A thin film of an electrically conductive material (16) is applied to form an electrically conductive surface (22) on a surface (18) of a polymer coated fabric (14). The method involves coating a woven glass fiber fabric (14) with a polymer solution (6), curing the polymer solution on the glass fiber fabric and then depositing the electrically conductive material onto the cured polymer surface, typically by a sputtering technique, to form a flexible, electrically conductive fabric (24). This method helps to ensure that when the electrically conductive material is applied, the electrically conductive surface formed is continuous and is of a controlled, generally constant, thickness. The substantial continuity of the electrically conductive surface is maintained even when the electrically conductive fabric is flexed during subsequent manufacturing operations.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 1988Date of Patent: April 23, 1991Assignee: Hexcel CorporationInventors: Willard C. Patent number: 4784048Abstract: An air filtration system is disclosed in combination with a removably attachable enclosed cab for preferred use with an agricultural tractor towing a sprayer through an orchard. The enclosed cab has an air intake from the upward forward portion of the cab. The air intake opens to an intake plenum which passes along the tip of the cab defining a minimum vertical profile over the top of the cab. The air chest is mounted to the upper rear portion of the cab below the cap top and immediately overlying the cab rear window. Air passes down the forward portion of the air chest in the interstices between the forward and side walls of the air chest and the side of the filter pack. Air flow reversal occurs at the bottom of the interstitial passage with downwardly flowing air being deflected along the bottom of the air chest and then passing vertically upwardly. The air then passes upward through the filter pack through successive coarse, fine particle and charcoal mist filters to the top of the air chest.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 1987Date of Patent: November 15, 1988Inventor: Robert M. Patent number: 4747300Abstract: A sensing pump for discriminating between liquids and gases. The pump includes a plunger which is reciprocably moved by a succession of repetitive actuation of known force and time characteristics. The response of the plunger, acting against the fluid is indicative of the quality of the fluid (liquid, gas, or vapor). An orifice is provided in the system which in effect eliminates liquid viscosity as a determinant, and makes the system responsive instead to a mass-transfer regime. This increases the discriminatory capability of the system.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 1986Date of Patent: May 31, 1988Assignee: Robert M. NelsonInventors: Robert E. Nelson, Robert M. Nelson
